Beware they have a severe bed bug problem in their facility. . High turnover on their staff. Poor care!

My 95 year old Grandmother has lived at Oxmoor Lodge for nearly 3 years. In that time, everything but the name has changed. It has been sold, is on it's 3rd manager, and there seems to be a revolving door for the rest of the staff as well. Which doesn't give much of a sense of security. The building is nicely maintained for the most part, and they have several activities that my Grandmother enjoys. The biggest problem seems to be the food. Since staffing is a major issue, preparing and serving meals is a constant struggle. Even when half of the employees haven't quit, or called in sick, the food is subpar. This is according to my Grandmother who is fairly independent, and walks down to the dinning room for all 3 meals a day.Frankly, if it were up to me she would move. I've offered to do whatever needs to be done to get her into a place where she would feel more comfortable, and she chooses to give this place chance after chance. There are worse retirement communities I'm sure, but I'm sure that there are also better.UPDATE: 3 Months ago, (2 months after writing my initial review) my Grandmother finally decided to move. No one had cleaned her room in months, and the last time it was vacuumed she said it was because she had to bribe, or, 'tip' one of the cleaning staff to do it. The final straw was when someone stole her pain medication. As evidence of how this place is run, the, 'owner' finally responded to my review 2 weeks ago. They state in their response that a manger could be spoken to with issues in regards to the food. The funny thing is, Oxmoor Lodge currently doesn't have a manager overseeing anything at this time. Unfortunately, that is because he passed a few weeks before someone responded to my review, and the position still hasn't been filled. I've included a picture of my Grandmother's toilet, taken the day we moved her out. The elderly people in your life deserve better than this.
