I have been twice. The staff were the best at taking care of all of my needs. The PT department staff are above excellent! I would go there again!!

Kingsbrook nursing home. It's a bunch of drama for some workers, there are few workers who works there that takes extra breaks and sits outside and talk rudely and cruelly and call the other coworker names. The bosses wants to yell at new workers for asking help when they haven't been there that long and doesn't take care of the problem. Some employees are constantly on there phones and stands around and not help it's a nice place but terrible to work for if employees get missed treated. When a bosses says if you have any problems or if a certain person is give you problems let me know and but they dont take care of it. If I was in charge alot of them workers that thanks it's funny to miss treat coworkers and patients would be FIRED. THESE EMPLOYEES NEED TO REMEMBER TREAT OTHERS HOW YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. good luck to all new patients and future employees.

The medical director never visited with me or showed any interest in my concerns. Her attitude was dismissive and bored at best. She listened to the nurses that never left the desk. As l was an assistant director of nursing at a long term care facility, I watched how the confused patients were treated and ignored when they had needs that needed to be met. The show was on when visitors were there .I observed a patient transferred from bed to a chair by family because staff kept putting him off. I m pretty he was a back injury and was not supposed to be out of bed until pt evaluated. Staff was aware and uninterested. If a patient doesnt have family in to visit daily and at odd times you would be surprised what you will see. If staff knows family makes dedicated surprise visits and asks questions the staff will not provide the best care they need to know FAMILY IS WATCHING. FORCING A PATIENT TO TAKE A SHOWER IS ASSAULT. I was not dirty or smelling and had showered the night before.PTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE CARE. THE BED ALARMS THAT ARE CLIPPED TO CLOTHING ARE IGNORNED WHEN THEY ARE PULLED OUT OF WALL. AT ONE POINT THEY DECIDED THAT I WAS A FLIGHT RISK AND POSTED THE MINISTER AT THE EMERGENCY EXIT BESIDE MY ROOM. IT WAS Locked . I WONDER WHAT THE FIRE MARSHALL WOULD HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT. I WISH I STILL HAD MY COPY OF REGULATIONS. BUT CMS MIGHT NEED TO KNOW how they seem to make up their own rules there. I have never been so helpless as I was at that time period unable to have any control over myself and my opinions were discounted before I could finish the thought.PRETTY IS IS NOT PRETTY IT IS A SHOW.GOOD LUCK TO THOSE WHO ENTER THERE AND GOD BLESS.

Kingsbrook is more than just well kept flowerbeds and lawns and the available rooms for families to gather with their loved one (library, cafe, open foyer w piano n fireplace, and chapel). It's their staff! Our family member resides here and continues to receive very good care! I am observant of the care she receives, they listen to our concerns and respond appropriately and quickly.
