So far so great! My mom is suffering from a Brain Tumor and we have a Heaven Sent Care giver coming 3 hours a day during the week while I am at work. My Mom LOVES her care giver, Alisha, and so does my family and I!Alisha is very responsive and really does go above and beyond for my mom as well as communicating to me and my family. She will write a good notebook page on the day she had with my mom. When she's not helping my mom shower and take her meds, shes cleaning up after her, me and my 5 year old while we are away. She even stayed an entire day with her, unplanned, when she had a stomach bug. Even if it was circumstantial that she didn't have anywhere she needed to be that day, it really meant a lot! And not only is Alisha responsive, so is the entire team and Owner, Julie, at Heaven sent. I have all of their direct lines and usually they are calling me just to make sure things are okay. With my sister and I both having kids under 6, and my moms quickly declining health that leads to new challenges every day, they really are the support we need right now and couldn't ask for better.

I recently hired Heaven Sent to come 2 hours twice a day to check in on my mom and make sure she took her meds and insulin while I was on a three day weekend trip. I explained that someone needed to actually see that she took a her meds because she was non-complaint; I couldnt simply call and remind her to take them. Thats why I was hiring their company for approximately $100/day. Unfortunately, her sugar was checked zero times while I was away, and she only took three out the six dosages of her medications (for seizures, heart failure, etc.) while I was away. Luckily, as far as I can tell, she did get her insulin doses. Upon my return, I was disappointed and contacted the company. The person who answered the phone assured me that my expectations werent unreasonable and that shed speak with the caretaker and call me back. Well, its been over a week and I havent heard anything, other than receiving a bill for $289.Why two stars? My mom did say the caretaker was nice, though she says she doesnt think she was actually there for 2 hours during any of her visits. I have no way of knowing if thats true, though. Bottom line? Maybe Heaven Sent is okay for strictly companion care. Would I trust them with any important responsibilities when it comes to a loved one? Absolutely not.
