Full disclosure: I have only visited the location once and it was not during an event being held there, only to pick someone up. The place was in good condition, nothing seemed to be in disrepair and it was very clean in and around the place. The parking was what I'd consider 'barely enough' inside the lot for the size of the venue but I suppose you could park along the street nearby too if needed.

The surrounding, the people. You could feel happy/joyful mood of the people as they mengled. It was nice, refreshing. I recommend this place.
