Jefferson Place at Hearthstone, A Ministry of WesleyLife

My Mother has been at Jefferson Place since January 4 2016. She receives decent care. The staff there is really good, but are way short staffed and the girls work there tails off and no way are they giving the amount of time with residents for what they are paying for. I write a $7000.00 check out each month and I just cringe every time I do. Mothers hair never looks like its comb, and up until the last month she wasn't being fully clothed. She has dementia and her quality of life means alot as to making it as normal as possible. We lost my Dad very unexpectedly Dec 31 2015 so he liked just disappeared, and has had a very hard time adjusting. So as soon as she gets to know her the girls that care for her, the next thing we know they have moved or no longer there, so Mother has no stability and it's hard for her to gain trust in anyone. The time frame that the girls have with each resident isn't long enough to even make her bed to make it look decent. I have remade it several time. If your sitting in a room all day it's much nicer to look at a made bed and a picked up room. But there isn't enough of them to take the time they need to care properly for all the residents. I don't know if it's the pay or management or what but it seem strange that there is such a turnover. I'm not satisfied for the amount of money we spend there.My mother thought she was in the hospital and didn't know why she was there because she felt good and wanted to go home.
