Winsor Manor in Algona is above all our expectations! What a beautiful facility with all the amenities of being on vacation in a beautiful resort. My dad struggled at home and had to go to a Care Facility for 12 months where he got strong enough to take care of himself again. We chose Windsor Manor where he could have his own 1 bedroom apartment. He can be as private as he wants or as social as he wants to be. They do the cooking, cleaning and laundry... all the things he did not want to do after my mom passed away. The staff is kind, caring and family to my dad and all of our family. My dad has so many new friends that are just like himself and loving life again. They keep a close eye on their residents but yet let them have privacy and self dignity if they choose to. Fun Activities daily that my dad chooses not to miss! They take the residents anyplace in Algona they need to go, Dr., bank, grocery store, K-Mart, Dollar General and many more. They do little day trips around the county so the residents can keep an eye out for whats happening and social outings. My dad is in the best health he has been in several years thanks to the care, love and support of Windsor Manor Staff! Its heartwarming to know my dad is being taken care of and help just seconds away if he needs it. Terri Tweedy ( Facility Administrator) does an amazing job and has such a passion for her residents, staff and the resident families...she makes everyone feel welcome and special. My dad has lived here 6 months already and never once has had 1 complaint... that tells me the whole story!!! Im very proud of the Facility, staff and the new friends my dad has come to call family .

When my aunt lived there things were taken from her apartment. Irreplaceable family heirloom items. Found out employee had them. other things came up missing later and hey would do nothing about it. Pretty sure knew who did it, but they wouldn't do anything!!!!!! But they had to go somewhere as my Aunt was incapable of moving things herself, she couldn't lift these items. it's sad when your loved one has the start of dementia and have to worry about their things being taken, especially irreplaceable items, family items they have had for yrs and yrs. Sadly it hey we're never recovered!!!! So be aware of your family items as some will come up missing!!!!! And then they'll just say they know nothing, to cover it up. So sad you CAN'T trust a place like this...

My dad is so happy living at Windsor Manor! He loves all the activities, the food and his apartment. I love that there is such a sense of Family and Community-a true caring environment.
