I have worked at Westminster Village for nearly seven years. In my current role as Executive Director, I have the honor of serving our residents and working along side our staff. Both groups are amazing and it is a true pleasure to be a part of such a wonderful community. If you are looking for a great place to live OR work, Westminster Village is the place to go!

I have lived at Westminster Village for five years, and it is a great place for seniors to live. I think of Westminster Village as a Land-Locked Cruise Ship. There is an abundant variety of good food, there are many programs of interest and half-day trips each month, the art director involves everyone in as much art as the resident wants, the trainers at the Fitness Center have outstanding equipment to help keep you fit, and the indoor swimming pool and therapy pool make water therapy available for everyone. When a resident ages to the point of needing assistance, the resident can move to assisted living where they get excellent care and also can take part in many activities designed for them. The Health Center is well staffed with caring helpful people who take excellent care of the residents in the Health Center. I spent three weeks in the Health Center two different times recovering from hip and knee surgery while undergoing therapy. The therapists and the nurses took such good care of me I was back to normal in no time. All of the staff at Westminster Village are friendly, caring and energetic. They really help make living at Westminster Village very special.I sincerely recommend Westminster Village to seniors looking for a place to live in their later years. But do not wait until you are too old to enjoy living at Westminster Village.

We moved here in February 2018 and are very happy. Marketing told us of good features, but we have come to see they 'undersold' the facility -- we have discovered many more positives they didn't mention!

My fourth joint replacement was earlier this month. After my other three surgeries I was discharged to go home, but with the recommendations of friends, I decided rehab would be the best option this time. There was no comparison! The staff was fantastic! I had great nurses with Yong, Justin, Bob and others. The CNA's were very attentive, especially Faluke, Kalon, and Angela.I needed 2 assists when being transferred, which would not have been done at home. Angela reminded me to slide my foot forward when sitting down, and not to pivot. I requested a shower 2 days early and Faluke was glad to do this for me. Due to intense sacral pressure, I could not get comfortable while sitting or lying in bed. I pressed the call button about every 5 minutes one night, but each time Kalon came into the room it was like the first time. He tried a new chair, pillows, adjusting the bed, and changing my position. Nothing worked, but he was happy to try various options to relieve my discomfort. The next day I was given a Roho Cushion and an air mattress, which resolved the issue completely. The food was great and the portions were generous. There was even a little refrigerator in my room to accommodate leftovers. For a nominal fee my husband could join me for meals. Snacks were always available. The staff in the dining area was very attentive to the residents who were cheerfully served with extra steps taken to ensure meals could be eaten without difficulty. PT and OT were an enormous plus, especially since it was one on one. In the past I was instructed to exercise on a machine while the therapist worked with another patient. Not this time! Siva and Alfredo provided education and demonstrated exercises that enabled me to get over the first big hurdle in 6 days rather than 14. That's a huge difference when the muscles are being retrained. The long halls provided ample opportunities for walking. I was given devices to assist with dressing, picking up items, lift my surgical leg into bed, and more. Each day I was given a list of activities from which I could choose. I found Westminster to be a very friendly place where the staff treated residents and patients with respect, concern, and warmth. My husband agreed with my decision after seeing the care I received. He commented that in the past my first few days were especially rough, and he felt responsible knowing how uncomfortable I was. This time we could enjoy our visits together while knowing I received the exact care I needed after surgery. I would definitely do this again, and I am grateful to Maggie and Breanna for taking all the extra measures to arrange my admission.
