Oh they promise you the world and say their dementia Ward is great and they can handle pretty much anything not true they lost all my husband's clothes did not take very good care of him and they're all about the money!!!

Poor management. Rude receptionistAs soon as i walked in to visit family was met with such rudeness at the front desk. Simply needed direction and the woman, i believe named liz as that was said by the other person standing there, could NOT be bothered. I was shocked to be treated so coldly. Thank goodness an aid saw me stressing and led me where i needed to go. Tried to call management to leave a complaint and got absolutely no response. After venting to friends about the awful experience they brought to my attention the current DON is the same woman who wreaked havoc on valpo care and rehab. I'm shocked someone with such an awful track record would be given another facility to run into the ground. Will be pressing my aunt to remove her mother, and warning anyone i know to stay away.

My mother, Barbara H. was a resident at Golden Living, Valparaiso, IN until she passed a few weeks ago. All staff were fantastic! I can't say enough about the excellent care she received. In addition all staff (nursing, dietary, maintenance, social services, PT, administration) were so kind to her and my family. The facility was always clean and neat. The staff truly cared about our mom! Thank you to Golden Living, Valparaiso, IN for being a supportive and compassionate part of her life. Sarah P. - daughter
