Heritage House-Shelbyville

Place is a joke, mold grows on everything. Everything is out dated the AC doesn't even work. They know nothing there when people give up there POA they still think that that person has POA. You get better treatment in jail and prison than this place.

This place is a joke. Poor staffing, the directors never call back and never take your calls, the facility smells like soiled laundry, they treat the residents poorly. I highly do not recommend sending your loved one here. They are very neglectful.

If I could give 0 stars to write a comment I would have. I would not suggest this facility to anyone, worst care and responsibility toward residents ever. When we put her in for the facility she was fine after a few days she started feeling sick. She was having dry heaves and diarrhea and couldnt eat soiled food without throwing up.Medical staff was clueless on what was wrong with my mom, said she had a blockage in her upper bowls from the X-rays they took and her being sick was from the medicine she was taking so they were going to cut it back(she had been taking the same medication for a month prior with none of the side effects she was experiencing their).Come to find out she had congested heart failure and if she had not been taken to the ER it would have been a lot worse. Also the swelling in her stomach( was from a blocked upper bowl) WRONG she was retaining water in her stomach, lungs, and gallbladder. Thank goodness she is getting better and we will not put her back in Heritage House.
