Recently, my husbands grandfather was moved to the Leland. We soon found out that he is unfit to stay at an assisted living a facility so we have decided to move him out. During the move out process, we found out that he has bedbugs. He has not been anywhere besides there and the hospital...What does this mean for him? We cant take any of his things with him to the new nursing home. Everything must be replaced and due to his dementia, he is distraught. Leland staff claims, well, he could have gotten them at the hospital as refuses to provide any sort of compensation. Please be warned. As nice as this place may seem, it is not an honest assisted living facility to deal with.
