Brand new, very clean, with some nice amenities. Residents have access to laundry rooms, a movie room, game room, chapel, activities room, large dining room, a smaller dining/snack room, 2 courtyards, private party room, there is a barber shop/salon as well. The halls are all lined with handrails on both sides and couches every so often for breaks while walking. The rooms are not cheap, but understandable, starting at $2600 a month for the studio, $3600 for the 1 bedroom, and $4600 for the 2 bedroom. However, there is a lot included, meals, 3 check-ins a day by the on call nurse (There is an available nurse at the facility 24 hours a day), laundry is free to do, some snacks are free. All rooms have independent temperature control for the occupant (s). Along with other services noted in the brochure. Here are the reasons as of yet why I did not give this 5 stars; There is an additional fee which was not disclosed during initial inquiry, there is an additional $500 'deposit' (you don't get back). There is also additional fees if your loved one requires more attention and is not as independent. Again, this is understandable but should be disclosed as well in the brochure. There brochures are also slightly off in the blueprints of the rooms. They have display rooms available but if you are unable to see them, the bathrooms are not illustrated correctly, and the closets do not have bifold doors, they are dual doors that swing out fully. Lastly and MOST importantly, the entrance/exit doors to the facility and doors to the courtyards do not have a push button activation to open. (As of yet, this has been brought to the attention of staff) An individual must be capable of pushing or pulling a door to open it. This is a big inconvenience for an individual who is wheelchair bound and/or does not have the strength to push or pull doors. They would have to wait on staff to be available to provide them access to where they want to go. And in a worse case scenario, if Autumn Trace was at full capacity and a incident occurred i.e. a fire, many individuals who are incapable or lacking strength to manually push/pull doors would have to wait for staff or first responders to safely exit.Overall it is a great facility for loved ones who are downsizing, who are capable of living a mostly unassisted lifestyle, or want to spend less time on home up keeping and enjoy themselves more. With a few improvements Autumn Trace will be top notch!
