If you need an alzheimer's unit, don't go to Golden living! Just Because they have a man with a history of behaviors who wants to be aggressive towards my dad, they moved my dad without notice and without permission (which is required), to a more progressed unit. My mom had made it very clear to JIM and ANN the head nurse that she never wanted my dad to be moved there. My dad walks even without a Walker. My dad is not on a special diet and can feed himself without difficulties. My dad is easily redirected and is not violent. He does need a scheduled toileting program. The more progressive unit is dark and is just one narrow hall with no where to walk. No where to go . Rec room is closed and the NA said that they have been saying for months that they were working on it. The small crowded dining room is closed off so they can't go there either. There are a few chairs in a little cubby area that they usually gather and you can't hardly walk through. The only windows to the door only display a privacy fence. VERY VERY BAD. DEPRESSING. DON'T PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THERE

Golden living center Is not a place to be ! They treat their patients horrible , when my mother came to the facility she came in w no table , no T.V to watch .. NOTHING . I wouldnt recommend anyone send their loved ones to that place. The nurses and aids take forever to come to help you & when they do , they have attitudes !

My grandma stayed there for LESS THAN 24 HOURS because her experience was so awful. She was put in a room with NO table and when one was FINALLY brought into her so she could eat her dinner it was put on the side of her BROKEN shoulder that she could not use. She had ordered an ice tea hours before that and was brought milk with her dinner. The nurses misread her chart and refused her pain medication because they thought she was allergic to it. She hit her nurses button many times for help getting up to use the restroom as her hip had been injured as well. She dropped her remote and then could not reach it so began yelling for help - when a nurse finally came, they made her use a bedpan which was recommended she NOT do at the hospital as she had pins placed in her hip and it would be very painful. They had no walkers or anything along side the bed for her to hold onto. I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE. She also explained that the nurse was laughing at her and not taking her seriously about how much pain she was in. GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE! IS THIS HOW YOU WOULD TREAT YOUR MOM OR GRANDMA??? LEAVE IT TO MUNCIE'S FINEST.
