Waterford at Edison Lakes is the best choice in our area. Convenient location, pleasant environment and just tucked away where you can enjoy the sound of water and even a bit of wildlife. The occasional deer will make an appearance, along with ducks and birds singing every morning. I drove past Waterford for years, on my way to work, and at first sight, thought it was a quaint boutique hotel. When it came time to research a community that our mother would enjoy, it was the best choice. I visit several times a week, at different times throughout the day and its always the same wonderful experience. I highly recommend Waterford to anyone looking for an affordable home with a safe loving community .

I visited my mothers friend. They have been friends for the past 83 years. They are both very out going, social, and happy go lucky people. I Have had experience with a couple of Assisted living facilities in Florida and one in Michigan. I have seen all levels of care. While we were visiting, we enjoyed a very nice lunch. The food was better quality than most people have at home. The servers were all so nice and extremely friendly towards my mothers friend and nice to us. Moms friend shared with us all the activities and programs she is in. They even put on plays! When I needed to ask the front desk for some information, they were very accommodating. The place was clean, felt like a northern style home, warm and cozy. The apartments were HUGE in comparison to my friends place in Florida and for a portion of the price. My mother said, if she is to move into an assisted living place, this is where she would like to live.I have to agree, this is where I would feel confident, when the time comes, placing mother in good hands.

My parents moved to the Waterford at Edison Lakes in Mishawaka IN. in May of 2019 from another assisted living place in Goshen. They LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! It seems like they have their own private home. Even their grandchildren love visiting because its just like being at Grandma & Grandpas house. I love that the Waterford replaces all carpet AND padding, each time a new resident moves in. The walls are all freshly painted, and its like a brand new apartment. Another important detail is the residents are in possession of the key to their apartment, family members are not. This gives residents the assurance of complete privacy, plus there are security cameras in the hallways.Laura Boyle is absolutely wonderful to work with, shes a big help in getting necessary paperwork in order, got an answer to every question I had prior to making the move. The medical staff are obviously well trained and professional, but still warm and friendly. The FOOD! I look forward to going for a meal with my parents, as the food is delicious. The dining room is open from 8 AM 6 PM and its restaurant style dining with no assigned seating. My dad LOVES the fact they can choose their own time to eat. Every time I visit my parents, which is 2-3 times a week, there are residents outside sitting on benches, or walking their dogs and residents gathered playing cards in the game room or library. Its very clear the residents are happy. I have 2 friends whose parents reside at the Waterford and they would echo my review. Kindly Linda Cook

Our Mom absolutely loved the Waterford at Edison Lakes. From the moment she walked into the lobby, Mom felt welcomed and compassionately cared for. Laura Boyle and her team at Waterford made the move for Mom as easy as possible - providing outstanding options for moving support and finding just the right apartment to fit Mom's needs. Mom told us, 'When I walked into the apartment, it just felt like home!' She was greeted on her first day by the Welcoming Committee who helped introduce her to others and helped her to quickly develop friendships and become a part of the warm community there. Mom was an amazing cook and particular about where she dined - she really liked the food at the Waterford and the all-day availability of meals. She also enjoyed bingo and the many social activities and staff at the Waterford. Her days were filed with good conversation and enjoyable activities - such a wonderful transition away from the loneliness she had previously experienced living alone. We looked at a number of facilities in the South Bend-Mishawaka area for Mom, and found the Waterford offered the best, full-service, compassionate care for its residents. I highly recommends the Waterford for anyone looking for a warm, caring, safe facility for their loved one.
