Aperion Care Arbors Michigan City

MY FATHER IS IN THIS PLACE. WHEN FIRST WALK IN. IT IS JUST LIKE THE PICTURES NOT ONE PERSON IN SITE. ANYONE CAN WALK IN THERE AND NO ONE WILL STOP YOU. IT SMELLS GOD AWFUL LIKE SOMEONE URINATED ALL OVER THE FLOORS. IT DIDN'T MATTER WHAT HALL WAY YOU WERE IN IT STILL SMELT LIKE URINE. CALLED TO SEE IF HE WAS THERE AND WOULD NOT LET US KNOW BECAUSE CASE WORKER DID NOT GET TO HIM CAUSE HE WAS SENT THERE LATE. SO HE DID NOT HAVE A LIST OF PEOPLE THAT COULD SEE HIM OR GIVE OUT INFO ON HIM CAUSE THE LIST WAS NOT MADE YET. THEY WOULD NOT GO CHECK WITH HIM TO SEE IF IT WAS OK FOR THEM TO GIVE ME INFO. ONCE INSIDE BUILDING BY RECEPTIONIST NOT ONE PERSON AROUND SO I CALLED AND SAID I WAS IN THE BUILDING AND NEEDED TO KNOW WHAT ROOM HE WAS IN AND THEY SAID JUST COME ON DOWN TO HIS ROOM MIND YOU THIS IS OUR FIRST TIME EVER BEING THERE HAD NO IDEA WHERE WE WERE GOING. NO ONE CAME TO ASSIST US. ONCE WE DID FIND SOMEONE THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY TO YOU BUT I DON'T NEED FRIENDS I NEED SOMEONE TO ASSIST IF YOU CAN'T HELP THE FAMILY OF A NEWLY ADMITTED PATIENT, HOW MUCH HELP ARE THE PATIENTS ACTUALLY GETTING. HE DID NOT RECEIVE HIS INSULIN RIGHT AFTER DINNER WHEN HE WAS SUPPOSE. INSTEAD THEY WAITED TILL AFTER 9 PM TO GIVE IT HIM HIS NIGHT DOSE AND TOTALLY SKIPPED HIS AFTER DINNER DOSE.

I agree with Angela Williams. This place is THE WORST PLACE FOR FRIEND OR RELATIVE!!!!!!!!!! My husband will never be put back in this facility....EVER AGAIN.. No care at all. Aids will walk right by you. One woman sitting in her wheel chair has called NURSE several times. 3 aids & 1 nurse standing or sitting around the nurses station laughing & joking so loud. Completely ignoring her. It is a shame. They have NO CARE for the elderly patients that are supposed to be cared for here. The nurse yelled at her NOT YET. Instead of getting up & walking a few feet just to talk to her for a minute. I am absolutely discussed with this place. My husband has been gotten up at 3:00 in the morning to get him dressed. WHY!!!!! I need to stop. I could write more. Maybe another again later. I could write more about my husband, but the way that woman was treated I personally witnessed.

New management team and now new staff applying to become part of something good for the residents of this community. In Michigan City, everyone knows everyone; one generation to the next. It's a close knit community. We provide the best possible care for loved ones when being at home isnt possible at that moment. I believe that through education of staff, families and residents, we all work together for continuity of care and to make the Arbors the best place to be. Teamwork makes the dream work!

We have New leadership that truly cares and makes a difference in the lives of our residents and staff. I enjoy working here. Everyone works together as a Team collaboratively to ensure the best care for our residents, the staff truly cares and it shows. We love our residents as if they were our own family. My coworkers are some of the best friends I have hands down. We are definitely the Best Place to bring your loved one and to work in Michigan City, Indiana.
