I have been a resident of Georgetown Woods Senior Apartments since Jan 2014. I am quite content with my stay here. Whatever problems I encounter, I inform the office and they are taken care of in a timely manner, for that I'm grateful. I would recommend these apartments to any senior looking for a nice quiet community.

I moved into this complex a year ago because of what it has to offer. It's close to shopping, bus line and pharmacies. The facility is equipped with an elevator, laundry room, community room, library, tv room and barber on sight. It has a nice patio area were you can sit out and enjoy the outside and even have cook outs. All apartments are equipped with emergency call lights which goes right to first responders. There are also on sight activities for those interested. I would recommend this facility and I already have.

Georgetown woods is not the best place for most seniors if you need any accommodation such as rails or raised toilet, even something as simple as a shower chair they are not the place you want to be. The maintenance is almost non-existent. There was a fire and water leak in 2015 and there could possibly be mold.

PART 2:NOT ONCE FOR THE 3 HOURS THAT I WAS THERE. DID SHE GO WALK UP OR DOWN, TOOK A FLIGHT OF STAIRS OR ANYTHING AND GO KNOCK ON THEIR DOORS TO CHECK ON THEM, TO PROVIDE UPDATES ABOUT WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE BUILDING. THAT ALONE WOULD HAVE SHOWN SOME CONCERN FOR HER RESIDENTS BUT SHE DID SEE THE CHILDREN OF THE RESIDENTS COMING TO PICK UP THEIR PARENTS TO GET THEM OUT OF THAT ENVIRONMENT. And looka here...she's posting her comment tonight as well. I have ONE last thing to say about this matter because you are absolutely correct, it's getting handled!!! BUT AS ANOTHER HELPFUL HINT. IF YOU AND YOUR MAINTENANCE WERE DOING THE NORMAL ROUTINE INSPECTION FOR THAT BUILDING. THEN YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THESE ISSUES BEFORE THEY HAPPENED AS NOT AS THEY HAPPENED AND NOW TRYING TO COVER YOUR ASS ABOUT IT WITH YOUR RATIONALE THAT DOESN'T HOLD UP IN A COURT OF LAW. THE SAYING IS, IF YOU KNEW BETTER YOU WOULD DO BETTER AND MY FAVORITE ONE IS, COMMON SENSE IS THE LEAST THAT A PERSON CAN HAVE AND SOMETIMES COMMON SENSE AINT COMMON!!!! SLEEP WELL TONIGHT OFFICE LADY WHILE OTHERS AREN'T. HOW ABOUT HAVING THEM SIT IN THE OFFICE WITH YOU TOMORROW WITH YOUR NEW AIR CONDITIONING UNIT IF THEIRS ISN'T FIX...THAT'S ANOTHER HINT FOR YOU TOO.

6/11/2016 Horrible place to live dirty floors, smells like trash, public bathrooms are locked and not availble for use. No air in the building residents are forced to stay in apvartment due to extreme heat in the building. Its so hot the residents took the fan out of the laundry area and management wants it back! They post notes everywhere telling you what you can't do, however there is no note saying why there is no air. They dont want you to eat or drink in common areas because they are lazy and don't want to clean up since they dont have a cleaning crew. Trust Maintenance is aware management is aware. Pictures have been added. Emergency call system does not work. Needed it twice in May for my elderly parents one who had a heart attack the other with respiratory distress. I work as an advocate for elderly everyday this is resident neglect and abuse.6/14/2016It's funny that you Will return complaints online I called the maintenance line on Friday no return call as of today. Emailed corporate no response as of today. They want the residents to have a meeting with management those who can have fear of retaliation, those who can't have advocates like myself. The air has been broken way longer then two weeks and an FYI management brought a new air unit for they office but the residents are still hot....added new pictures again TO THE NEXT SENIOR COMMUNITY! New note posted today now they cant use the library thats because they dont want the conversing about the conditions and because the library and dining flood when it rains stay tuned more MOLD TO COME heartbreaking6/15/2016 management refused to discuss issues as they clearly stated in previous messages became upset and called IMPD....the good guys took our side! New pictures attached rain flooded the building elevator out fire departmemt carried my dad down 3 flights of stairs! Way to go IFD Pike Township! Authority's are all supportive of these post and acknowledged neglect currently mymy dad is in the hospital tonight after suffering in the building under these conditions. Management blamed all issues on IPL which was false. I will continue to update until a resolution takes place.
