Yikes. Grandmother was here to recover from a bleed. Staff didn't seem at all prepared to deal with someone who needed more assistance than something like a broken foot. They were surprised when she needed bathroom help, for example. At one point they never came despite her calling for help for over twenty minutes so she was forced to go in her bed. They didn't always give her her medication, she had to ask for it. They didn't always change her bandages, she had to ask for it. Thankfully she's mouthy and 100% mentally there- but what if she wouldn't have been? It could have been even worse. If they can't accommodate more needy patients, they need to not accept them, but I guess money talks. The building is beautiful, the rooms are nice. But I absolutely wouldn't recommend it.

My grandmother was in the Symphony for some time in order to get physical rehab and two of her therapists, Juan & Kim were very nice. However, my grandmother went in there with capability of feeding herself and very well with dressing herself and pretty good with walking for the most part. She came home on the 7th of september, && now she cant feed herself, we have to re-teach her how to eat solids again, && she is like a vegetable who cannot move much now at all. I am her granddaughter as well as her caregiver, and i have a disability as well, && a bad back and had surgery in May. So the state that they left her in is very difficult for me. I feel she needs way more days of therapy than what they gave her... So i am highly disappointed.

My aunt was sent here after having emergency bowel surgery. Symptomatic of COVID and several weeks went by before they agreed to test. Tested positive of course because similar to Symphony in Joliet, nobody cares about elderly patients. My cousins (not health care providers) took her home this week. Absolutely no social services scheduled. Nobody there to sign off for home health care. This is patient abandonment and negligence. Some nurse practitioner was supposed to coordinate services, but did nothing! If the patient does not have an advocate, this is the place you put them in to die!

I love my job here, I drive the bus for the guest and i truly enjoy it. I enjoy the guest and meeting of new people. It is a true learning experience from being a nursing assistant for 20 years, i enjoy putting smiles on people faces..
