Reflections has been my 99 year old Mom's home for more than a year now and I have to say the entire team have performed above and beyond all of our expectations. Mom has consistantly told us she's very happy there. I know for a fact she was not always happy during the previous 5 years that we cared for her in our home-- which left us very frustrated and exhausted. Tho the Covid 19 isolation has been stressful for all of us we have the peace of mind that she's still being exceptionally well cared for -- the whole team is excellent!! -- Jeannie Smith, RN

Placing a loved one in a residential memory care facility can be a heart-wrenching decision: family dynamics are disrupted, emotions can run high, and myriad details seem to demand immediate attention. So needless to say, when my father made the decision 15 months ago to place my mom in residence at Reflections in Washington IL, the decision was not taken lightly and was met with trepidation. Will she be well cared for here, I wondered?During my unannounced visits with Mom, I have consistently found her to be well-tended, engaged, and content with her surroundings. I've asked her more than once, 'Are you happy here?' Her response has always been, 'Yes.' And gratefully, her degree of cognition still assures me she would answer differently, if that were the case.About seven months ago, I took pictures of my mom, the grounds, and the indoor facilities at Reflections, to send to relatives in Germany. They were comforted to see the quality of life she has and to know she is in good hands.I have played Bingo with Mom and the other residents on more than one occasion, lounged with them in comfortable outdoor furniture on the lanai, and slow-danced with Mom, as a Karaoke singer entertained the residents, during the holiday season.During the Covid-19 pandemic, effective, methodical, and extensive measures were taken early on, to ensure the residents' safety and well-being. To date and to the best of my knowledge, Reflections has been and remains an infection-free residence. And that alone says a good deal to me.When it comes down to it, though, it's always a bit of a leap of faith, isn't it? In my ongoing experience, I am grateful to say my faith hasn't been misplaced in Reflections and its caring staff. With heartfelt gratitude,David S.

I would give zero stars if I could. Please do not put your loved one in this facility.
