Cambridge House of Swansea

My sister was working there for almost 4 years and far as management goes they have the worst management ever. And they always want to start problems. No issues ever get resolved and never will.

My mother stayed at Cambridge House for about 6 months. We moved her out last October. Right after she moved in, she ended up in the hospital and rehab for 3 weeks. While she was in the hospital, the nurse came in an threw her meds away. Mom was part of their drug program. It's like pill pack. Instead of relabeling the pill packs for the time Mom was in the hospital and rehab, the nurse just threw out 3 weeks of pills. One of the medications was quite expensive, $50 a month. The other issue we had was about a week before she left. Two people came into her apartment at 5:30 in the morning and said they were there to draw her blood. She asked where they were from and they told her not to worry about it. We found out later, that when Mom moved into Cambridge house, her physician at the time asked Cambridge House to schedule a blood draw in 6 months. The doctor did not inform my mother that he had put the request in and Cambridge House did not tell my mom that they had scheduled a draw. Mom left the doctor shortly after moving in and had a new doctor. Cambridge House was aware that Mom had a new doctor but they failed to cancel the blood draw. We went to the administrator after the incident. She was unappologetic and one of the nurses swore they didn't do anything wrong. I reported Cambridge House to elder abuse and they did an investigation. Since we decided to leave the facility, thy didn't pursue the matter any further. I can't recommend this facility to anyone seeking a safe environment for their love ones.

I cannot say enough great things about this facility and the staff! Upon having issues with the hospital my mother was in, Lori went to infinity and beyond to help me get her released and admitted to Cambridge, once there the entire staff from CNA's to Lee, the Administrator, were nothing but accommodating and personable. I felt they were exceptionally professional and my brother-in-law who helped move my mother's possessions told me several times how nice the facility is, stating 'it is nicer than a lot of hotels'. Again, the staff is EXCELLENT and the facility is very nice and well maintained - even the custodial employees are personable and accommodating!

I wouldn't advise anyone to put their family members into this assistant living. They take the elderly's money and then they still put him out. It is really a shame how they are doing people at the Cambridge house in Swansea people are leaving one at a time on a daily basis.

I am very proud to say that I have been with the company since it opened 10 years ago. The atmosphere is welcoming and staff are helpful and friendly. My own grandparents lived here and loved their time with us. Cambridge House provides a great service for seniors who need assistance.
