Concordia Village - Lutheran Senior Services

There are few things I could mention about Concordia Village that would be negative. Bob and I enjoy living here although I don't take much interest in the activities or programs. He is more active than I. I am as involved in outside interests as I want to be with church and friends. For the residents who like to keep busy, many activities are available. We enjoy our apartment and get help from maintenance very quickly when we need it. We enjoy the food, but it seems the food service has had to cut back on what they serve this year. We have had a hard time watching new friends become more feeble and/or die. Two friends have recently been moved to assisted living, for instance. I certainly am not sorry we moved here four years ago and I would recommend it to our friends. The staff go out of their way to be pleasant and helpful.

Concordia is outstanding in all the important ways necessary to a living arrangement. Not only are the facilities top notch but the staff is excellent and caring. Food and activities are excellent. You only can be bored here by choice.

We have lived at Concordia Village for almost two years. Although the thought of moving was traumatic, the staff made it a much less daunting experience. We have been extremely happy at Concordia; the friendly, helpful staff, the terrific food, the many available events and entertainment and especially the best neighbors we have ever had. Since both of our children live out of state, we are truly blessed to live in a place where we feel we belong and are confident in our future.

I love living at Concordia Village. It has so many advantages to still having a busy life style. I don't have to clean or cook if I don't want to. I have exercise classes available at different times so if I miss one I can usually catch another one. I have gone to the movie theater which shows a variety of films. Haven't tried the pool yet but it is on my list. As for the food, I rate it quite good, of course, you don't always enjoy all of the menu all of the time, but there are lots of choices. The staff is extremely helpful and the residents are friendly and openly encourage friendships. I live in a patio home so I still have a full laundry room and garage. It is absolutely perfect. Not having to worry about taking care of a house anymore is also important and everything is provided for you here. I moved here because my husband was ill and I was not sure what we would need medically , but because they have assisted living as well as the care center, I knew all my needs would be in the same place. It was definitely peace of mind for both of us.Thanks - Sharon Snyder
