Brandon Wood Retirement Center

Brandon wood retirement center is a great place for my mom and dad. They enjoy the people here, and the other residents too. The food is great and you can choose two meals each day. Life here can be as private or as public as you want it to be. mom and dad have a patio outside of their apartment and they let the dog run out there if she wants to. So yes animals are permitted but I believe that there is a weight restriction.Kay works very hard to keep this a good place and also to keep it an affordable place for seniors to live.I've seen the help here interacting with the retired people and it's a really good thing to see. There are usually more people working here during meals. It's much more encouraging than seeing the people outside smoking instead of interacting with the retired people. And yes, they are people and they deserve to be loved and cared for. Right now, the apartment is quieter than the library, but if you want action, you can go out to the sitting room and watch a game.They have extracurricular activities and I don't just mean bingo. There are exercise routines, there are Bible studies, You can also sing in a choir, if you want.Overall it's a really, really nice place.

Brandon Wood is very affordable, we love the home like atmosphere you feel when you are there. We like that they offer different sized apartments. It's nice to have home cooked meals available everyday and they are great. There is 24-hour security on site which gives you a secure feeling! They have fully organized activities and outings that are very enjoyable. The staff is very helpful and caring. A wonderful place to call home!

My mother has been a resident since 2012 (and a short time before then) and really enjoys it. The staff members are very nice, the food is good, and most of all, the facility appears very safe.
