Ive been working at Eve for four years. Over the last four years our facility has had many changes for the better. I personally see a better change in our community. We have new employees that are doing an amazing job with our residents. I like coming to work everyday and seeing the residents smile and happy. In our community we strive for better. We have fun and also make sure our work is complete. we make sure are residents are our number one priority and that the are happy and enjoy living at Eve.

Beautiful building and cant beat the location! Ive been the Director of Activities for four years and love having access to the library across the street, all the activities in Burlington Park and the parades that pass so close to Eve. Its been fun working with all the residents over the years, theyre like family to me!

Over promises + Under delivers. Our mother lived here for over 4 years and endured the ups and downs of a startup facility. The exterior and interior are beautiful and location is convenient. They sold us on being an aging in place facility but a far cry from that. Facility is guilty of negligent hiring. The nursing staff and CNA's are sub-par with poor life skills. EVE has challenges keeping their nursing staff and Nursing director position filled. The caliber of staff they do hire have poor people skills, terrible job in keeping patient notes, sloppy with medication distribution/ timing and lack compassion, attentiveness and patience. I was extremely disappointed with their aging in place quality of care especially during the last 90 days of my mothers life. She was physically hurt by one of their CNA's. In addition she developed bed sores and was malnourished. Pain medication was not given in a timely manner. It would take a CNA 30+ minutes to show up after ringing the pager. Cleaning Service was poor, where bathrooms are not properly cleaned or sanitized. Family communication was extremely poor for example, they had an influenza break out in the winter. I learned from the staff that there was a break out and my mother caught the flu as well that almost took her life earlier in the year. In the summer the paging system went down and that wasn't communicated and I found out after waiting 45 minutes for a CNA and asked the front desk why no one is coming and they told me then that the system was down. I asked how was I supposed to know. They said they told all the residents - at this time my mother was in Hospice and not communicating. The food quality is poor and food servers are slow to wait on residents. EVE is owned by a money hungry owner that doesn't care about the true well-being of residents. Do not bring your loved one here.

Our 94-year-old dad moved to Eve Assisted Living one month ago, and he has been very happy there. I visit on most days, and I am impressed with the warm staff and the thoughtful activities offered to residents. Dad has always been an active person so keeping him engaged socially and culturally is important. The facility is small so he knows everyone already and he enjoys the outings with his new friends.

This community has had so much change that I worry it will shut down because it is half unoccupied. There have been cutbacks in staffing, food that was fair to begin with, nursing and I could go on. There is no communication on any of this to families. I have been asked countless times to write a review and I feel that although some of the staff are pleasant it does not compensate for the deficiencies when paying at premium price. Sadly rather than improve the value the owner is trying to get more people in by having employees write reviews. The employees are not the ones on the receiving end of this establishment. I have spoken to the ED and her hands are tied. This owner does not care about people and is only about his pocketbook.
