Waterford Estates Retirement Community

Recently I submitted a post regarding items that had been stolen from my God-mother's apartment while she was in transition and also items taken after she passed. I was very upset with the behavior that occurred on the premises. I now know that the individuals who removed those items were not employees of Waterford Estates, but on-site contract employees. I would like to take this time to apologize to Waterford. Jenna, the Executive Director, informed me through her investigation that she was able to retrieve all of the items stolen from the room for me. I am eternally grateful to Waterford and Jenna for their efforts. My family greatly appreciates your diligence and tenacity in recovering those items during this difficult time. Thanks again.

Well run and well maintained. Great location and wonderful facilities

Today's visit was a bit disappointing. They've had almost 2 months to get my Mum's unit ready (and they've been paid for the time) and there were still many things left undone. Plus I was underwhelmed with their test of the personal alert system, even when they knew we were doing it, there was a 2-3 minute response time over their walkie talkies...no clue how long it would have been before someone came to the unit. I will definitely be doing another test and will be sure to publish the results.Weeks later...they did nothing with the carpet (and did no followup), and now just want to cut out the bad bits...a solution that's totally unacceptable to me.I cannot recommend Waterford Estates for your loved ones.

I cant say enough positive things about Waterford. Every level employee from executive to staff go out of their way to create a comfortable, home-like atmosphere to make each resident feel at ease. An excellent resident-to-staff ratio, a wide variety of options for outings and group activities, healthy delicious meals and an individualized plan for each resident which can be adjusted as life circumstances change, are just a few of the things that attracted my brother and myself to select Waterford for our parents. The caregivers and nurses are attentive, compassionate and friendly. Just knowing that there is on-sight medical care has given us peace of mind that someone is always available to help if needed. Another plus is that physical and occupational therapy can be done without leaving the facility to help residents stay active and engaged.
