While I worked there as front desk, there was construction in the front lobby that led to a lot of dust. They were aware that I have asthma but they didn't give me a face mask until I complained of coughing up blood. While Erika, the executive director at the time, was interviewing someone, she said that the clients weren't actually their first priority and that they were primarily hospitality, which doesn't sit well with me. My coworkers were all great people, but management was left wanting.

My sister and I moved both of our divorced parents to Brookdale Lake Shore Drive, first one then, years later, the other. That is how much we trust it. From the executive director to the maintenance crew... everyone is kind and professional. When needed, the staff helps new residents adjust by connecting them with peers with common interests or backgrounds. Residents truly have fun living there. This community is warm and welcoming and a true treasure of Chicago when the time comes for senior living.

If your a caregiver don't ever come to work here there's bed bugs in the apartment and the nurse Miriam Goldman doesn't care about you all she cares about is getting paid she won't go out of her way to help you

Great facility and good care givers. Majority of the staff are easy to work with on site. Difficult to get a in touch with director of senior care- but otherwise great experience.

Terrible facility, no respect for elders or there well being heating issues in time of need, management no where to be seen they live in their offices. Rodent and bugs throughout the building, save the despair of moving your loved ones to this facility. Completely over priced and over rated.
