Burbank Rehabilitation Center

Horrible place to to keep your love one here. It's a shame that we are all going to get to that place where we are going to have to be looked after, If you don't have family members that are able to stay home with them. Let me start off by saying it's all about money not care. My dad was submitted after being a victim of a car hitting him, he not the same. He cannot talk or move on his own he has to be fed by a tube, breath through a trach. It has been through my experiences that since he has been there for months with no bath, they don't shave him unless I do it and wash him down, I have come in to find that his body is half off the bed. He had to be transported for a Dr. Appt the nurses disconnect his trach and let the transporter take him, I came in on time because I was going to go with him and found that he was having a hard time breathing and was changing colors, another time he was going to be taken down to Dialysis he does not have Kidney failure, here is another one as I was coming in to the room a nurse or whoever that was trying to get my dad to drink down a pill with water. Really!! the last incident it was when my dad had been vomiting several times and they would not clean or change his trach. They left him pretty much in this condition for hours. I had to call an ambulance to transfer him out of there to a hospital which as of right now he is getting the attention that he needs. If I would had not take him out of there i am sure he would had not be around for much longer. The accident didn't killed him.. staying there would had. He will not be returning back there. I would take these review seriously. If your love one cannot talk or do much for themselves they are the victims. If they are able to do for themself they are safe since they do not need much care from the staff. NO STARS!!! I had to enter at least one in able to post this.

I really thought we found the right place for my dad but we were wrong! Lazy, uncaring, unprofessional staff! My father is not happy here and we are currently looking for another rehabilitation. I can go on and on about this place but all we wanted was my dad to be in good hands and to see him get better so he can come home already. Please dont bring your loved ones here, i shouldve done my research first and shouldve read the comments... :(

Never got paid for shift

I am surprised about the negative reviews here. Granted the place isn't 'new and updated,' but who cares as long as the equipment is updated and working, the care is consistent and the nurses are loving and do their jobs. My dad has been here for about a month after being at a 'fancier' rehab in Hinsdale. Vera is a HUGE improvement from RML in Hinsdale. Granted RML wasn't awful or anything, but the care wasn't as loving and personalized. My dad is VERY picky and can be difficult, but is very aware that he is being cared for with compassion as the end of his life nears. He likes Vera and seems peaceful here. The nurses (shout out to Tammy and Teri) are always in there cleaning him, checking on him and spending more time with him than they surely are required to spend. I have also noticed that there is ALWAYS staff cleaning the floors and rooms, etc. There is a lot of janitorial staff which is comforting. I would recommend this facility.

Chicken house...I'm so sorry for people who have to be there. Poor care ,no one good word for it.
