My mom is still independent, with a walker. She loves her room and the staff is very good to her. They can also transition to a different part of the center with age(when they need more care, or their mental abilities change). She can also get her hair done weekly ( in house beautician), and every 3 months she gets her feet and hands done! She is treated like a Queen!

I came here a few weeks ago to check this community out for my Mother. Let me just say that I have never been more taken aback at how many Females are Tattooed and just Trashy Looking. This is such a turn off to many Folks like myself. I thought I stumbled into a Trailer Park!! Another thing, get some new Carpet, for crying out loud...

My mother is in the memory care unit and is a lover of coffee. A very special employee, Debra, makes her a Mona Mocha every day. Even on mom's worst days it can bring out a smile. Thank you for taking such good care of my mother.

Overland Court Senior Living looks like an excellent place to live. My family and I toured this facility and really liked it. Unfortunately for us, my grandparents need time to get their affairs in order before moving to the Boise area from out of state, so it's unlikely there will be an opening in the Transitions memory care side when they're ready to go. But we're hoping there might be!The marketing director, Melanie, seemed to know the residents by name. Staff is individualized to department so they should be very knowledgeable about their department. There are photos of residents doing fun, activities and resident artwork is displayed on the walls throughout the building. The apartments seem comfortable. There are multiple daily on-site activities and multiple trips per week. It is also very close to an Albertson's, a thrift store, a Dairy Queen, and many other shops. The Transitions Memory Care wing is just through some double doors, and has a good feel to it. It didn't seem institutional at all. It felt like a nice home. Residents were out in the common area socializing with one another and with the staff. Transitions is their memory care section that is for residents who are in the more beginning stages of dementia. They have another memory care section called Generations that is for residents who are in the later stages. I think that is something that we all really liked as well. All of their rooms are private (unless couples want to share in the Assisted Living section), and they have four different size options in their Assisted Living and two in their Memory Care. Even for residents on Medicaid, they get a private studio apartment. This facility requires two years of private pay before a resident can utilize Medicaid to pay for their stay.I could write more about them, but I would recommend you just go ahead and schedule a tour for yourself if you are interested!
