MorningStar Senior Living of Boise

Morningstar is like a 5star hotel for seniors. It is beautifully maintained and the staff are so cheerful and helpful. My mother has been there for a year now. She is doing well and making new friends. I am so thankful.

We have been highly impressed with Morningstar's service to their residents ever since my mother and sister entered the Morningstar family 2 years ago. From every department at Morningstar the resident's wishes come first. Residents are treated not only with total respect but also love that only an extended family can give. Morningstar is one of the few companies who truly live everyday by their mission statement, ..........'Value all Seniors'.

We cant say enough good things about MorningStar Senior Living in Boise, Idaho. They have been a godsend for our mother. Just a little background first. After Dad passed away from Alzheimers in 2012, Mom became very lonely and depressed. She gradually began to eat and drink less, and her health was declining. We finally decided it was time for her to make a move to a senior living facility. Having been involved with a local Alzheimers group, and being somewhat familiar with many of the facilities in the area, MorningStar was at the top of my list. Giving up ones home and admitting you need more help is a very difficult decision to make, and Mom was pretty unhappy with this process. She was certain she wasnt going to like it. I know many people have been in this situation and can relate to just how sad it can be for aging parents when they need more help.BUT, Mom has become a different person since moving to MorningStar, and we are all thrilled! She now eats three meals a day, and the food is great. She has new friends. She loves playing Bingo every day. She has happiness in her voice. She has a lovely apartment, but really doesnt spend much time there, with so much going on and things to do. Everyone at MorningStar is so friendlyboth staff and other residents. One of Moms early comments was everyone knows my name! The facility is very clean (with no weird smells) and nicely decorated. There are always fun celebrations and decorations for holidays and other events, and they even have Happy Hour on Friday afternoons! There is a monthly calendar as well as a daily sheet of fun excursions and events residents can sign up for. Shuttle vans are available for transportation as needed. There is a Bistro, a movie theatrecomplete with popcorn, and a small gift shop. Each resident has a locked mailbox in a central location. There is a residents committee that meets regularly to discuss ideas, issues, etc. While Mom is currently in independent living, she can easily transition to assisted living should she need more personal care. So not only is Mom happier and living a better life, her family is thrilled knowing she is safe and enjoying herself. Visiting her is so much fun now.....if we can find her!

We moved our mom here from Salem, OR two years ago after it became evident she needed more care than she was getting there. The staff at MorningStar Senior Living Boise was very caring and loving. They live up to their mission statement of honoring God by valuing all seniors. We would recommend Morningstar Boise to anyone looking for a great place for the parents to live and be cared for.

Moved my mother into this wonder facility 3 months ago. Both my mother and I are so thrilled with this community. Such caring and friendly staff starting with the Community Relations person giving invaluable information. My mother is finally happy which did not happen at her last place. Wonderful place for seniors. I highly recommend!
