Gem Village is absolutely incredible!! Its a small locally owned business. The owner, Andrew Blaser is a remarkable individual. Its refreshing to see an owner so intimately involved in the care of his residents. His residents and employees always come first. His compass for decision making is always what is best for the residents never what is best for his bottom line. Every resident is different and has different needs and Andrew makes sure that their needs are not only met but that he exceeds them. The management team is second to none. Tiffany, the Director of Human Resources, is so much more than just somebody who files paperwork. She ensures that the residents are being taken care of by hiring and training the best possible caregivers. She is often the first person that you will see when you walk into Gem Village and there couldnt be a better person to set that first impression of what Gem Village represents. The Resident Care Coordinator brings years of experience to Gem Village and ensures that the correct medication and cares are carried out for your loved one. One of the many things that makes Gem Village so unique is that all of the meals are prepared by an trained chef. So many facilities require the caregivers to make and prep the food which takes them away from caregiving. This allows gourmet and healthy meals to be prepared by a trained chef and served to the residents while not sacrifing on residential care. What really sets Gem Village apart is our activities program. The current Activity Director bleeds for our residents. She is absolutely fantastic at her job. She genuinely cares for each individual and goes out of her way to make sure they are smiling. There is a reason why they say Laughter makes the best medicine because at Gem Village residents will never be bored, lonely or depressed but will have an adundant of interaction and social activities to keep them laughing. Caregiving is hard work and Gem Villages caregiver work tirelessly to ensure that the residents are taken care of. They are loving, compassionate and empathetic towards the residents. Gem Village will always be my first choice for senior care in southeast Idaho and you should be yours as well.

This place is phenomenal! I cannot believe the level of care given to the residents! They have a facebook with almost daily updates and family is always welcome to come in and see their family members. The food is top notch and after seeing what other facilities are in a 60 mile radius this one is my absolute top and only choice! I want my family members to stay active and have healthy meals! This is the place to find both!! Definitely check them out!

My mother was at Gem Village for about 4.5 months before she passed. Moving her there was the most difficult decision of my life, but turned out to be one of the best. The staff, in the building my mom was in, worked as a team and genuinely love their residents and cater to their needs. No place is perfect, but the staff at Gem Village go the extra mile and any issue I had was remedied immediately. I am a family member who was there almost daily, sometimes several times a day so I was able to see the staff and residents in many different situations and circumstances and I definitely recommend Gem Village. In our time there, my girls and I grew rather attached to many of the residents and care givers and we will continue to visit.

My mother was at Gem Village for several years before she passed away. Because I am an artist they always invited anyone who wanted to sit around a large table and I gave them an art lesson. I noticed the people were always out in the main room conversing and doing things. It seemed more of a home setting than the larger assisted living centers I visited. I was in one last week for a program I helped with and it was sad to see so many elderly men sitting in wheelchairs in the halls by themselves. The ladies were in there own rooms. I am glad my mother was in a place where they tried to bring interaction with others and do fun things

The care givers, and all the staff take great care of their residents (Gems as they call them). The Gems are loved and taken care of wonderfully. Denise, the activity director has something for them do see or participate in all the time. This has been the best place for Mom. So glad we were drawn to Gem Village. They love yours as their own!
