My friend Helen's mother has had a non permanent but lengthy stay after a amputation and according to her it's a wonderful facility, friendly hard working staff members are superb and do a fantastic job. It's clean and just has been a blessing. Can't wait for Donna to be up and going again back in the communityShe is a warrior and lived beyond measure

IF I COULD DO NO STARS I WOULD!My grandfather fell in ICU and is now paraplegic because of it and was sent to moanalua hospital to get better care. Then was sent to hale makua for therapy. Hes been there for 2 MONTHS! And no progress has been made! All theyve been doing is putting him on medication thats making him loopy ! Hes now BACK in the ICU fighting for his life again ! Because he now has a UTI ! Since hes been in hale makua hes been going down hill! I do not recommend sending your family member to hale makua ! Please listen to me! All they care about is prolonging the stay and taking your money! I walk through that place and no one looks happy ! Its sad to see patients in there being stuffed with pain pills and sleeping medications. I go there to see my papa and I have other elderly patients telling me theyre tired, falling asleep in their wheelchairs with their head hanging. Hale makua is a place you go to die. They need better workers that actually CARE. Save your familys life by NOT putting them there!

I fell and fractured my sacrum and pubic bones and after 12 days in hospital i transfered to hale makua kahului for 21 days of physical and occupational therapy and my experience was excellent, my therapists had me improving daily and i was Abel to walk out on my own, just 32 days afer my fall, amazing progress all because of The High Quality Care and therapy At hale makua, I highly reccomend them and thank God for them being there for me!
