Don't let this beautiful facility fool you. My father found himself there last year. After being there less than a week, my sister and I were informed by a staff member than they were specifically instructed to not lift a finger to help him. My father was a very dignified retired Episcopal minister with a long history on St. Simon's. My family was appalled at the treatment he received there. I personally spent a week on the island to stay with Dad until we could make other arrangements for him. He asked me why I stayed with him. I told him that I would never leave him there alone. I do not recommend this place to your loved ones. They clearly don't have their residents' best interest in mind.
