An extremely difficult decision was realizing our mother could no longer stay in her home because of her becoming feeble and her being diagnosed with dementia. Even with the help of several personal care providers it just was not working out and we could not provide the care and oversight needed. The family feels very fortunate that the Retreat (formerly The Southern Plantation) was located nearby and we believe it is an excellent assisted living facility. Our making the transition to The Retreat could not have gone more smoothly with the help from Linda Kinnersley, Misty Page, Kathy Myers and the entire staff. With just the few weeks our mother has been at The Retreat, we see improvement in her general condition thanks to the quality care and services provided by The Retreat. James Camp

My wife and i decided to tour the plantation in hopes of making it a future home of our parents, everything was fine except for meeting the food service Director did not know the whole time speaking to the person wheather or not it was a man or woman ,if you see this person you would know what i am speaking of if this was confusing to us i can imagine what the residents are going through,this was a deal breaker for us.#EVERYONEAINTONBOARDWITHTHISNEWERA.
