The owner's response is not true; I have been to 3 communities and even volunteered for a while at one in particular. The complaints that I have heard from the residents themselves is what forms my opinions. I seriously doubt that any of the 'owners' in Chicago have a clue, and they certainly don't visit to find out. This bot needs to get a grip. Come to the communities then we'll have a discussion.

Dad was in the Alzheimers section. They told us they had all sorts of activities to keep dad happy and had very experienced staff that can more than handle all of dads needs. He was rushed to hospital with gashes to his head not once but twice within one week and many staples to his head later, none of the nurses nor staff knew what had happened. These two incidents werent the only times dad was admitted to hospital, there was more. Dad was active and walking when first registered at Northstar but left this facility wheelchair bound for the rest of his life. He now lives in a personal care home where we now know he is cared for. The guilt lays heavily on my family and me for listening to the hospice referral instead of investigating references ourselves.
