Burnout very high, there is no help when you go to the administrator for help. This facility only cares about making money and they will admit any and everybody. People who do their job are not appreciated and this place is full of drama.

If you have a family member that is suffering from Alzheimer's dementia then you are in the right facility. My father was in the 'premiere' facility in Augusta (starts with a Brandon) and let's just say that it resulted in a move to a new facility, Marshall Pines. Here, the staff is actually trained on how to take care of the patients and as the disease progresses they know how to individualize care for each patient. As of this writing, he has been living there for over a year now. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff, especially Kimberly, the head administrator. I have called the facility at 10:30 at night and Kimberly answers the phone. I have stopped by the facility at 11pm and she answers the door. She has given her life to this facility and my family is so entirely appreciative of her. If we have any problems because no place is perfect, Kimberly has always been attentive to our needs and puts the needs of the patients, and their families first. She has no problem disciplining staff and if necessary dismissing employees that are not a good fit for the facility. We are a very involved family and we trust the facility. It is when you are not at the facility that you want to know that your loved one is receiving good quality care. It was a very hard decision to move him and when I moved him to Marshall Pines I knew we had made the right decision.

I love coming to work here, except it doesn't feel like you're working because our residents are such wonderful and unique people. They make you laugh.( at least for me they do). I remember when I lost my sister to dementia, it was devastating for me I had to do everything on my own. I only wish my sister could have lived in this community, because of the loving and caring staff that we have here at Marshall Pines, this community is our residents home and we love them and their family dearly. To all of our staff ( Let's Keep Moving Forward).Leona Wells,Executive Chef

Not the best place to work. The administration is never to be seen unless its to put on a show. They say they care about the work environment but do nothing to help improve it. The administration does not hop on the floor when they are short. Burn out is very high and so is the turnover rate. The rating is only due to the managers reviews boosting them.

I unfortunately have experienced dementia and Alzheimers in my family for over 24 years, from my grandmothers, aunt, brother, dear friends who became family and now my mom. We luckily had Jud C. Hickey Center help us in our times of need and now that I am working at Marshall Pines I see our staff have the passion to care for our residents just as I do. Residents are family, the love and kindness I see given to each and everyone of them warms my heart. Our residents families become friends we hug, listen to, laugh and cry with.
