My husband has been a resident of PC for a year and a half. Our family is grateful for the caretakers and support staff. Some of the most important criteria for us is low turnover of staff, appropriate activities, and a compassionate environment for our loved one. The staff has been open to work with us and addressed any concerns . One of the best features of the community is the open one level floor plan and large outdoor space for residents .

This place was fine at first. My dad was a resident here. When change of staff and management happened within the first 6 months, it tanked. Most of the staff were rude with the exception of the front desk. Front desk is probably the highlight of the visit. They are extremely personable. The rest of the staff, I really can't describe. Supposed to keep it clean, so I will leave it at that. I have some extreme choice words to say and I am going to keep it to myself. For those looking for a facility, I will say this, coming from personal experience with a parent going through dementia, no matter how hard the care giving is, always keep them home. Hire someone to come to the home. It is better in the long run. Reasons being, facilities especially this one in particular do not allow the family to install cameras to be in their room. When you inquire to specific staff about this med or this incident you always get the run around and no one gives direct answer. When it comes to this specific facility in regards to 'in house' Dr, ridiculous. They never call you before visiting the loved one prior so you could actually be there, no one ever has their number available. When it comes to how the entire staff treat other residents who live there is sad. Most get ignored. Most of the staff do not communicate either with the other shift coming on or within at all. Please look elsewhere. Whatever your situation may be, you do get what you pay for. This facility about 5 years ago was named something entirely different, they received a bunch of complaints from family members. Most of which complained to the State of Georgia, it was closed down and then reopened with Peachtree Creek. Their rating back 5 years ago was I believe 57 percent. Complaints ranged from no medicine being given to residents to staff abusing residents and 2 deaths of residents resulting in abuse. I did not feel my dad was in danger, however had that information had been available when I was looking I would never have decided to this place. Look at the Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper online, and look for their documentary they put out on YouTube about senior or elder care. Its about an hour in length but they have their references and info on there about all the facilities in Georgia that you can now have access to before placing a loved one in a facility. Please look into it and please do extensive research, ask questions, if you feel something is too good to be true or if your intuition is making you feel uneasy about a place or the people or you get uneasy feeling, please listen to it. Do not go to this facility.
