I am a Registered Occupational Therapist with much geriatric experience. Our entire family wants to express our gratitude to Inspired Living of Alpharetta (ILA) for helping us provide the highest quality of life for our widowed Mother with complex chronic medical challenges without having to resort to a nursing home placement. Our Mother is an ILA resident residing on Memory Care although she has no memory problems but requires 24/7 extra hands on care for challenges related to legal blindness, severe hearing loss, chronic COPD requiring 24/7 oxygen, mobility limitations, need for thickened liquids and pured food and severe anxiety culminating from all of the above. Trish Holloway, Director, orchestrates timely, hands on coordination of comprehensive services, whether it be daily integration of the myriad of care plan details inherent to our Mothers medical needs or periodic ambulance transport for ER admissions, ordered by the ILA in house geriatric doctors who oversee medical cares and provide on site medical appointments bimonthly as needed. And oversee acute changes in medical status reported to them by ILA nursing staff. Caregivers and Activities staff go out of their way to help our Mother feel safe and respect and integrate Mothers life long preferences to help Mother feel like a person, not a patient. Full rehab services have been provided to Mother since her admission in February 2017, as needed, more intensively unfortunately over time due to her complex disease processes. Rehab services have included many levels of in house Physical Therapy (with same compassionate provider; a rarity in healthcare), and as needed for shorter length of service, Speech Therapy for swallowing issues, now Occupational Therapy, and 2 nurse practitioners- one specializing in geriatric grief counseling and another for geriatric psychotropic medications consultation, critical as Mothers medication needs is also very complex. Pharmaceutical aspects of Mothers care is also managed by ILA. Noteworthy, all medical/therapy management and daily care provision cited above has been included in Mothers ILA Forever Pricing with minimal additional expenses incurred periodically, in spite of Mothers care needs progressively increasing. Mother started out in the Assisted Living Care wing but needed to be transitioned to the Extra Care/Memory Care wing in the past year as her Care needs intensified. Having continuity of staff, including Mothers beloved dining room, maintenance and chauffeur staff and helped Mother with her placement transition. The entire ILA staff pinch hits as needed to provide continuity of care (for instance providing transportation of Mother to off campus medical specialists and even delivering Mothers Oxygen Compressor Unit to the ER. Thank you, ILA!Sarah Carver, OTR/L

'Renter beware' of this facility. My mother had a terrible and traumatic experience. She fell numerous times because no caretakers were around to assist her. The last time she fell she was literally standing next to a caretaker who didn't catch her and she fell flat on her face and fractured the bone above her eye. My mother went to ED numerous times in her short six month stay at the facility. Also, when I would visit my mother in the evening most times I couldn't find any caretakers around to even ask a question. It was a ghost town at night.

Beautiful well appointed community with a warm mountain lodge feel. Gracious and welcoming staff. Pleasing and filling comfort food. Meticulously clean and maintained accommodations. Private, secluded, and calming atmosphere. Very approachable care staff. Exceeded our expectations!

Im currently employed at this community and I must say it is beautiful and very welcoming. The residents are a delight and the amenities are state of the art. Ive had the opportunity to service both the Memory Care & Assisted Living. The best part of my service to the residents is their feedback about the community being care & safety focused all while emphasizing the desired need for family accessibility at all times. Although we would all desire to think of our place of living & employment to be a utopia it is necessary to have areas of opportunity of growth and change to continually evolve and be 1%Better each day. I have experienced that here and I was quickly met with a resolution and helpful support that in my opinion was sufficient and did not hinder my overall mission Serve daily with excellence to met with excellenceFrom medical professionals to the fine dining servers, Im in an environment that is forever establishing a culture that maintains dignity, respect and quality of living for all. I would most definitely consider this Home for my loved ones.

My research into assisted living options for my elderly mother ended here. The minute I walked in the door I was greeted with friendly smiles and greetings - and this was from the residents! Before my initial meeting I took a few minutes to look around the main areas and was impressed with the modern look, fresh clean smell, fashionable decor, and attention to detail. The ladies I met at the front desk Carla and Rajae, make you feel like family from the moment you walk in. I sat down with Brenton Steiger, Sales Director, and he consulted with me based on my mother's needs, medically, socially, dietary, and so forth. He educated me on things I hadn't considered and we agreed on a go-forward plan that pleases all parties. Then I had the pleasure of meeting Mark Mitchell, the head nurse on staff at Inspired, who genuinely wanted to know about my mom as a human being. I also met a woman named Susan Mead, who is fantastic! Susan is the activity director for Inspired and I have seen firsthand the admirable way she interacts with the residents. She has a gift. They love her and I can tell why. The rooms are appointed nicely, the common areas are resort-like and the setting is in the woods. This is an absolutely wonderful place to entrust your elderly parent so hurry up, my mom needs some new friends! ~Tom R.
