The first time i visited this community, i knew that this was where i would call home. It is a very comforting feeling when you walk in the front doors. Everyone is so cheerful and pleasant and my lunch was fantastic! Highly recommend anyone to check it out.

My mother works here and every time I get a chance to pop in and see her for lunch I can't help but notice how kind and inviting everyone is. I'm glad she loves where she works and it's even better when she gets recognized for all her hard work!

I toured 6 or 7 places in the area and when I walked in the front door here, I knew this was my place. So warm and friendly, great staff, very helpful, lovely pool area, a way from traffic, its just a great all around building and I am lucky to call this place home.

The 7 months I have worked in the Saloon I absolutely enjoy it. I have never worked in such a beautiful place like this before. I never knew how to make drinks and the current staff which I call my friends were very helpful teaching me how. The supervisors are always there to listen to any questions you may have and help you out and the staff work as a team. I also have a great time with the residents. They are always kind, patient, and understanding they are even funny. If you are looking for a job I definitely reccomend applying here.

American House has the most to offer for an independent living community. There are lots of activities; I especially enjoy winning a game or two of Bingo each week. The food has improved. Great having a separate menu for days when you don't like the chef's main menu. My husband, our dog Cocoa and I would not want to move anywhere else.

I am an employee and for those who leave 1 star reviews I assume have not stayed in our facility. Yes, we had a turnover in administrative staff while we were Providence Independence, however since American House has taken over I have seen many improvements. One being our fully remodeled dining room. All of the current concierges have been here from a couple of years to the original opening! Patty, Jennifer L, Carlos, Tito, Jennifer W and Amber care about our residents like family. I hope you consider joining our family and don't let a couple of misguided reviews effect you decision. Come see us for yourself! As for the comment about hurricane Irma, I was working that day. yes it was crazy but it was a natural disaster. I worked alongside corporate employees who also slept on inflatable mattresses in offices. They went through that crisis alongside their residents and did a fantastic job of keeping everyone safe.

This commmunity is absolutely beautiful and full of life. The leadership team works as if everyone is family. I highly encourage anyone looking for a great, socially active indeoendent community, this has it all. A full bar and a pool as well! Cant beat the price point.

Have lived here for 4.5 years. Many ups and downs as expected of a new place. Things are now pretty good. I have looked recently at other places and here is the best value and opportunity. I tell everyone you should know what options are out there and move from a house to a community environment before you need to. Enjoy the freedom.

This retirement community is not just a community. It's a vacation in Vail Colorado. Beautiful, we visited about 8 times previously to see friends who live there. They are so happy to be living there......The staff is outstanding, so friendly and always ready to please. The sales director Tonja Papa is so well versed, answered all our questions and was friendly. She made us feel so comfortable, not a bit pushy, warm and friendly. We have so many great times visiting,we're making it our resort home from here on out. Thanks to all.

I have a relative living there and before Hurricane Irma hit they brought up hundreds of residents from their evacuated facilities in southern Florida making them sleep in the hallways jamming the facility with people dogs and kids , you think what these people charge they could have put them up in a hotel, When Irma hit the power went out and it is still out as three days after the storm, again you think what these people charge they would have back up generators since most of the resident are sickly and elderly, the elevators stop working and my mother in law lives on the third floor show she was basically trapped their in the dark hallways, they did bring her food and had staff with flashlights but that is putting a band aid on a dyke break. All the food she had in her refrigerator spoiled and there was at least $200 worth of it but nothing from management to compensate for that. She pays over $3,000 a month for her small apartment you think from what they charge they could have had better preparation and could have had a better plan than to jam every one from all their facilities into one facilities.

American House is the friendliest place in town and, I would like to say that the staff is great, they're accommodating, caring and loving. After checking other places this is the only place I choose to live.

Great place with staff that is friendly and helpful. The facility does seem like a resort with a beautiful pool, restaurant and beauty shop. Massage appointments are also available at a very reasonable price. The apartments are very spacious and weekly maid service is provided. Bus service is ready during the week to take folks where they need to go. Reservations must be made in advance. Several times a week the bus visits shopping malls, Walmart, Publix, and other local establishments.Overall a very pleasant place to live.

My mother and I toured this community while she was visiting from up north and she could not believe how wonderful it was. The staff were all very friendly and the apartments were really beautiful with full appliances, granite countertops, and a washer and dryer in every apartment. Nothing felt institutional at all. As we toured we saw what they were serving for dinner ... wow, really upscale and the residents we spoke to said it tasted as good as it looked. The swimming pool and bar area made it look and feel like a resort in Vail. I have been trying to get my mother to move down here and this may finally be the place that draws her here.

The problem with American House Wildwood is it can not be reached by golf cart. Sales staff will tell you that you can make your golf cart street legal to drive on public streets with a speed limit of less than 35mph. All true but it is an EXPENSIVE and complicated process and I just can't imagine making a left turn at the end of American Houses driveway pulling across four lanes of 466A traffic (and a median) at 20 mph with cars moving 40 mph+ that are only watching the streetlight (great way to get killed). Even with a street legal cart American House is a long way from anywhere at The Villages accept Pinnellis Plaza, even Brownwood is a haul. The staff doesn't live at The Villages and has no idea that taking a golf cart from their Wildwood location to Lake Sumter Landing (much less the hospital or even Publix) would be a huge undertaking that isn't even worth trying. If you still have a car and are able to drive is your only hope of freedom at the island of American House other than being a slave to their shuttles. Do yourself a favor and rent at a golf cart assailable location.

I have a family member that has lived in this community for sometime now. The only constant in the community is change. There have been more building Directors then I can count on two hands, more people in Marketing then I can count on two hands. The newest Director is not qualified for the position and In my opinion is a short term solutions to fix long term ongoing issue. The Director is unresponsive and limited on what she can do when problems need to be resolved. It does not appear that the newest owners empower the local leaders to manage or make decisions which may be justified In this case. The one benefit I have found is that they are the cheapest senior living community in town, which is justifiable as activities and dining are some what of joke and very poorly managed. If you have he means to provide a better living situation I recommend you do your research and select a community that costs a bit more.

I want to live at this place! Lol couldn't ask for a better place for my precious grandparents. The staff that we've meet go above and beyond and there was a man Casey that they have raved about helping them move in. I'm assuming hes a sales clerk but when I met him he seems like much more to the place. Always buzzing around. Anyway if you're looking for a place for your parents or grandparents I can't say enough good things so far. Good to know places like this exist.
