My mother has lived there for several years and she is very happy there. She is a few months from 96 years old. She recently was called to the office because her rent check had an error. When spelling out $2,996 she wrote 'two thousand nine hundred and six' but the numerical amount was correct. She corrected the error by writing in 'ninety' and was charged $20 extra for her mistake. It is easy to share my love for the lifestyle at Aston Gardens at the Courtyard. A highlight of my weekly chats with my Dad is hearing the excitement of the week..whether it be a mystery trip, celebration of Holidays (and other occasions.), the Educational lectures...Visiting there confirmed all I hear over the phone and in letters.: the friendliness of the staff and residents, the convenience, beauty and cleanliness of the buildings and grounds the warmth and welcome to Family. It certainly is a comfort for his 'children' knowing that our Dad and Stepmom are keeping up their interests, are happy, have easy access to transportation and having fun in a caring community. THANK YOU Aston Gardens at the Courtyard!

Simply put, Aston Gardens is marvelous. My mother has been a resident for a few years now, and candidly loves being here. Totally mobile and in her late 80s, she is one of its more energetic members, and the all-inclusive lifestyle keeps her active and inspired. They have daily activities and she loves all the trips, seldom missing one. Without doubt, she would not be nearly as active had she remained in her Virginia home.My wife and I researched independent living facilities and communities in the area, and toured Aston Gardens firstnot recommended if you actually want to comparison shop. There is no comparison between Aston Gardens and anywhere else. As a resident we met during our orientation put it, 'It's the cruise ship that never sails!' Another, There is always something fun going on at Aston Gardens!Taking a quick tour, this is a beautiful complex. Not only does it offer SO much more than the others like a heated swimming pool, spa, sports room, movies, salon, library -- but the staff bends over backwards to assist you. They provide courtesy transportation for doctor appointments, theater events, and shopping. They have weekly entertainment ranging from musical groups to educational lectures and discussions. The elegant dining room offers meals like salmon, prime rib, lamb chops, and shrimp cocktail on a weekly basisboth the food and service being simply fantastic. They have aerobics, chair exercise, craft classes, card games, and lectures -- just all sorts of educational and entertaining forums. Today, as was the case on day one, they continue to live up to the highest of standards. The staff knows the residents by name. They learn the preferences of the residents and seem to cater to them. Everyone from the maintenance crew to the wait staff to the facility managers and directors treat the residents as valued and respected customers, but with a familiarity that reflects true concern for their well-being. What makes this place 'home' for my treasured mother, and gives my wife and me total peace of mind, is the people. Yes, the facilities are beautiful and the amenities amazing, but would be nothing but structures and things if not for the beautiful and amazing people who staff them. Like family. This weekend my wife and I will enjoy my mothers company at the Aston Gardens 4th of July BBQ. As the resident so many years ago told us, There is always something fun going on at Aston Gardens!
