We have had prior experience with family members who needed residential assisted-living placements so we have a basis of comparison. Since The Preserve was recommended by a Professional Care Manager / Guardian we came for a tour and were impressed with professionalism of the the staff, the bright and clean environment and the flexibility of the staff to work with us to achieve a smooth transition. Our friend and ward has now resided in the memory care wing since early April and has achieved a level of comfort, improvement and social inclusion that exceeds our expectations. Our main contact is the Memory Care Director, Grace Brown, who works closely with the residents and responds quickly to our questions and requests. The head nurse, Elaine, has also been supportive and vigilant in monitoring our ward's medical condition. We have observed that Mickey, the stylist in the in-house salon, has amazing patience and a great sense of humor in working with the wide range of residents. Generally, the other residents seem well-groomed and well adjusted to the environment without the 'over-medicated' appearance that exists in some facilities. Finally, we enjoy visiting the Memory Care Department at The Preserve for the friendly greetings and interactions we receive from the staff and our knowledge of the high level of care that the residents receive.June 18, 2020 Update: We were recently informed by Grace Brown Memory Care Director, that The Preserve could schedule videoconferencing so we could celebrate our friend's birthday. Shamica Clermont, Activities Coordinator, set up the online meeting (using their equipment) and we easily joined and also included participants from Chicago and Spain. A great way to increase communication with residents during COVID-19 restrictions. Shamica even sent photos of the party. We and other visitors feel that The Preserve at Palm-Aire is an excellent facility for our friend!

I attended the seminar for new residence which was held by Nandy on July 24. It was very informative and each department was given time to speak. Nandy did a fantastic job setting up the table and giving each dept. a decent time to speak. I learned a few things I hadn't already known. I am glad to be part of this community and thank u for using Nandys knowledge in presenting it to newbees. Meeting was well worthwhile.

We recently moved our 92 year-old grandmother into The Preserve. We were little advantageous at first as we were afraid to leave her anywhere out of our care; however, we have been 100% pleasantly surprised as everything has been exactly as advertised and promised. Our Move-in-coordinator, Nandy, has been such blessing. Please ask for her as she will make every single step of the process smooth and seamless. I really truly have nothing but great things to say about The Preserve - Guys, please keep looking after my Bubi and keep doing a great job!!!

During the approach of Hurricane Dorian, I was advised twice a day regarding the position of the community and plans for the residents. I appreciated getting this information. This was a very stressful time for all of us. Knowing that I would get a call and that there were back up generators was very critical for my family. Thanks to the Staff of the Preserve!!

I have to share my story. My mother who has vascular dementia lived at an assisted living facility/memory care for five years and while we were like family there, I felt it was time to move her. Things were changing at the facility and while I was hesitant to make a change, I thought it best. The facility and us were just not the right fit, so I found the The Preserve at Palm-Aire. I was so worried about moving mom, and it was 12 days before her birthday. I wish we had found this place sooner. I can't say enough about how happy mom is and how happy I am. My new family there: Grace Brown, the memory care director, the best nurse I could ever ask for, Elaine, and the others Joseph and Janice, and the kindest CNAs! And my folks in activities who threw mom a great party on her birthday!! In the marketing and sales department, Nandy Sahadeo is always available to answer any question, and find the answer, even if it isn't her department. Shantelle Sinclair in marketing is wonderful and so glad my dear friend from Brookdale is now with Preserve, Jacquelyn White. The executive director Melanie White is so approachable. My mother used to say every time she saw me: 'I Want to go Home!' She hasn't said it once since she arrived at The Preserve. Today I ask her how she was. She said: Everything and everyone is so nice! She is having a blast. And I have peace of mind. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, feel free to reach out. I even took a vacation across the country. I've felt I haven't been able to go that far from mom, but she is so content, and cared for, I knew things would be OK. I've been through a lot in the past five years, and we're in another chapter in this road of dementia. But things are looking as bright as can be. I remain #momswarrior. P.S. I did make sure that my Vitas Hospice team would remain with mom at the Preserve and they are there, too!
