Solaris HealthCare Plant City

My father went to Solaris for rehab but was only there for 4 days. He died 2 days after we demanded he be released and we brought him home. Granted this was during the COVID period, however the care he received was extremely poor. He didn't have COVID. One day while visiting him (from outside window), it took 25 minutes to get someone to assist him to the bathroom. They placed him in a Depends and left him. My father was a diabetic, yet then fed him cookies and hotdogs causing his blood sugar increase to dangerously high levels. When I call to find out information about his condition, there was rarely to never someone available. One nurse told me the nurse to patient ratio was around 1 to 25-30 patients. I received a survey from Solaris about the care they provided and being a business owner myself, always appreciate a call if a client is not satisfied. I tried to give Solaris the same courtesy, however when I called the PC office at 4:00pm, all the administers were gone so I call the home office and received a voicemail requesting i leave a message. I'm sure there are some hard working employees who try their best, however our experience was extremely bad.

In January 2020, Mom Erma suffered 2 strokes. Solaris was Dad's first chose. They live in Plant City & it was conveniently close to home.I visited from SC and brought Dad daily. Being there from 8-3, I was happy he could purchase Lunch he enjoyed. The Nurses care for Mom professionally. The CNA'S treated Mom as if she was their Grandmother. The room was kept clean& sanitized by Gloria. The Therapist Angie made such a positive in Mom's plan of recovery. Thank you Nurses Debra and Bridget; CNA'S Peaches, Trish, Felicia, Jessie & Josie.This is now Feb 20 & I retured home to SC. Dad couldn't visit ( his 1st time missing). Mom took a nasty fall out of the bed that sent her to the ER for stitches in her head. How disappointed I am- even though I know Mom is really liked there.

Horrible place do not care about your loved ones. Don't inform you of your loved ones conditions if you want your love one to live don't take them here
