My mother was there for 3 weeks and broke her hip.The owner will not give me an incident report or her medical file.I would suggest you look into there insurance limits before you put your loved one there.I live in merritt island and would suggest you find another facilty if you care abought your elder .My mother is at palm cottages in rockledge fl,leaps and bounds ahead of la casa.

My wife has been a resident at La Casa for almost 2 years. The decision that I was not going to be able to provide the care necessary for her stage of dementia was made somewhat easier by the ownership and staff. They treat everyone including the family of the resident with the love, care and respect that is much more than I expected. Everyone at the facility takes the time to acknowledge and interact with both my wife and myself every time they encounter us. The staffing level always appears to be sufficient. The facility is always maintained in a neat and clean condition. I have never visited when there was any hint of dirt or odor. A little more about the staff. They work with every resident to make sure that they get the mental and physical exercise that they can and want to participate in. No resident is ever forced to do anything that they don't want to do unless it involves a medical or physical necessity. Outside activities are provide weather permitting. The meals. drinks and snacks provided are also much better than I expected to find in an institutional situation. Before my wife began experiencing the later stages of dementia whenever she asked for a hot chocolate the staff would make one for her.In conclusion. even though it was very painful to accept that I am unable to provide the care my wife needs it is made as easy as possible by everyone at La Casa.
