The Fountains of Melbourne

The DSD Ricardo is awesome. They have a scratch made pastry program with a pastry chef. The property is beautifull and the staff are amazing!

Full disclosure: I reviewed all similar facilities in the Melbourne area a few years ago. I am speaking only about the Fountains as I don't know what facilities have opened since I looked.I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend The Fountains of Melbourne. The overall facility is set in a very picturesque landscaping arrangement with attractive buildings, ponds, and trees. I do know someone who lives there so I am familiar with what goes on inside. A person could spend all their time at The Fountains and be fulfilled I think. Dining, entertainment, get-togethers, parties, just a myriad of special events. There are programs for personal enrichment particularly geared towards our older population as well as programs that anyone might benefit from.A person need not spend their whole time at The Fountains as transportation to medical appointments and shopping is available. Also, the residents often go to local events together.The Staff? Well, they are just top notch. Polite, helpful and friendly - you can't beat it. The focus at The Fountains is on the residents and that contains a wide spectrum of efforts that I've only touched on. If you are considered a facility such as The Fountains, you really do owe it to yourself to go there, tour the place and talk to Staff. Don't make a decision before giving them a look. You won't regret it.
