Wow, I just happened to be looking up a phone number on Google and ran across the reviews for Coral Plaza. I would like to respond to the negative review posted five months ago. I have provided professional services at Coral Plaza on and off for the past nine years and will say I have never seen or otherwise observed any of the 'issues' described or otherwise felt that any abuse, neglect or disrespect was shown to any resident. It has always been my observation that the staff treats everyone with dignity and respect and are very attentive to the individual needs of the residents. When I have been asked by families about Coral Plaza for possible care for their loved one, I have always highly recommended them for assisted living care and will continue doing so when asked for my professional opinion. I am not going into detail about the specific allegations written in that Google review but I will say I was in disbelief when I read the post. I could go on but if you are a client or family member reading reviews about Coral Plaza please do not consider the post I referred to as a representation of the care provided. I would love it if my parents ever decided to move to Coral Plaza.

STAY AWAY!!!! DANGEROUS FACILITY!! My mother lived there for about a month. She received a BLACK EYE there before 3:00 PM according to 2 of the aides. When I arrived there about 7:30 PM, she still received no medical attention & they didn't even call me - completely IGNORED it. I called the police & took her to the hospital. They said she could have had internal bleeding. Also, that she did not fall since there were no bruises on any other part of her body - that it looked like someone had punched her (a 91 year old woman with Alzheimers) in the eye. The next day her eye blew up red like it had a tomato stuck on it. This place has absolutely NO CARING about people. My mother was in a special dining room for people who had to be fed. I walked in there twice when she was sitting in there all alone - far away from the table, bent over, trying to reach her food to eat. They sent different aides to her room all of the time who don't know anything about her - where her things are, etc. I told them over & over again where her towels were in her closet, yet they never used them & kept using there own dirty rags on her all of the time. One of the aides even put her into bed to sleep with her shoes & glasses on. They pulled her knee-high stockings up which made red marks around her legs hindering her circulation after I told them over & over again to fold them down. Her bathroom floor was filthy. Many times, they didn't even bother putting her hearing aids or her eyeglasses on her they were so lazy, & when they did, many times they didn't even check to see if the battery was working, so she couldn't even hear. There was absolutely NO CARING in how they dressed her - they just pulled anything out of the closet & threw it on her - all mismatched. They CUT ALL OF HER HAIR OFF without my permission when she first arrived there so it looked like a man's haircut. She looked like a HOLOCAUST victim when I got her out of there. I only wish I could post the photos from before she went in & when she came out of there on here so you could see what I mean. I complained over & over again to the administrator but it fell on deaf ears - as I said - they could care less.
