Right now with the Covid 19 pandemic and not allowing us to schedule a visit. How is my family member supposed to be taken care of properly when you are very short staffed( 11 staff members gone). allowing some family members to visit and not others. unexplained falls. Maybe DCF or channel 6 news might be interested in hearing about that.

I was uncertain whether to write a review or not but after long consideration I decided to let others know of my situation and how upset we are with the current situation at Spring Hills. We moved my father into Spring Hills under the guise that resident well being is of the utmost importance. I understand that Covid has thrown everyone for a loop, but I cannot state this clearly enough, Spring Hills is failing its residents and families at every turn of the way. We were informed in April that there would be weekly calls where family would call in and get an update, that has happened exactly once with 30 minutes notice before the call. Secondly, the loving hands that we entrusted our fathers care in are no longer employed at Spring Hills and there is so little communication with the director that we have absolutely no idea who is taking care of our dad. Furthermore, we have been singled out and MISLED regarding visitations. We have been denied a basic right to see our father via a window visit. I have confirmed with other family members that they have mostly not been told they cannot have a window visit but that hours of visitation would be limited from M-F 9am-5pm which happens to coincide with most peoples work schedules. We simply don't understand why we would be forced to stay away and not be informed to all these changes during this time of confusion and isolation for my dad. The only word I can think of to describe these circumstances is reprehensible and quite possibly punishable by law.

Spring Hill was recommended to me by many people, including EMS/Paramedics & community recommendations when my mom was hit by a car, suffering brain damage. Roxy, was the first person I spoke to. She guided me through my whole process of getting mom establishe . Due to Covid-19, she took me on a virtual tour of the facility. All the corridors, sitting/game room, and cafeteria looked clean (I know smell in Assisted Living is a big thing, but I cannot comment on that, as everything was virtual). Because of moms loss of vision, Roxy assured me that mom would have someone to take her to resterant style dining room to order off the menu. *they have vegitarian & healthy options.
