The Cabana at Jensen Dunes

Very efficient staff. Clean and friendly.

My grandmother spent the last two years of her life in the memory care unit at The Cabana at Jensen Dunes. The employees, from the front office to the wait staff, including the nurses, doctors, and aides, are all amazing. My grandmother received superb care from kind, attentive people and was in a safe, clean, comfortable environment. No family could ask for more for a loved one.

So this needs to be put out there so people understand what they are potentially getting themselves into. My Mother (who had cancer and passed away several months ago) went to live at this place with only her Social Security income. She didn't meet the financial criteria to rent an apartment and I certainly couldn't afford to cover the difference. However, we were told because she had cancer that Medicaid would cover the rest of the monthly balance and she could move in right away. Well......this turned out not to be true and they evicted her some months later. After she left the phone calls and letters started coming my way looking for money. They KNOW I didn't sign anything or take on any financial responsibility on her behalf. They didn't care and turned it over to Dynamic Recovery. This is a Collections company that tried going after me and put it on my credit report. I didn't know this until I started the Refinance process for my house, and it showed I had $5k in Collections. Really? Dynamic Recovery finally sent me an email and letter stating that I am NOT responsible for paying The Cabana at Jensen Dunes. They should operate with more integrity, but unfortunately they don't. May God forgive The Cabana for what they put my mother and my family through.
