I am writing to defend myself on the review from Shirley Beatrice It's really odd we have never had a resident here by that name. Maybe this was written by a resident who I had to tell that their apartment wasn't up to the standards set forth by USDA Rural Development with regard to cleanliness and clutter or maybe it is a resident who was bullying other residents that got a warning because of it. For the most part my residents are amazing and abide by the rules and regulations set forth in their lease agreements but once in awhile I have to do my job and enforce the rules and regulations which is usually met by a disgruntled resident. As far as the number of staff we have gone through...I cannot say much accept that I believe people are telling me the truth when they say they have the skills that they do. I've been lied to many times by staff I have hired about their skills. I have a number of long term employees who are happy here. We have an amazing team here of people who truly care for and respect our residents. I will always put my residents first. I will not tolerate anyone who steals, lies or bullies my residents no matter who the person is. I have had to ban two home health personnel from the property based on their behavior and I will do it again if needed no matter the review they write about me.

My friend has a nice one bedroom apartment with walk in shower en suite bathroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen. I have dined with her twice in the dining room. The food is top notch and is prepared beautifully. Everyone at her table has been served remarkable restaurant quality food. The chef there is outstanding. The staff is helpful, responsive and friendly. There is a great attitude here.

My cousin lived at Inverness Club and absolutely loved it. I dealt with Amy and Louise and found them to be very professional and kind. In fact everyone at Inverness Club was everything anyone could ask for. 5 stars from me! Richard Penn
Inverness Resident

This is being written by some residents of the Inverness Club. We are very upset about the reviews that were written about our Director, Amy Rock. We want to set the record straight. We love living here at the Inverness Club. Do we love absolutely everything? No... Does anyone ever love everything? No. Amy worked her way up to where she is and has earned her position. The person accusing her of being rude is wrong. Amy does care greatly about the residents here and we know she does. She won't hesitate to protect us, support us, and help us in any way possible. She has stayed late talking to residents who were upset. She goes to the hospital & visits sick/injured residents. She has even gone with residents to the ER (on her own time) to stay with them until their family member could get there. She advocates for us all the time. She confronted two different healthcare providers after a resident and their family came to her with allegations of theft, allegations of fabricating hours worked. Another resident had a healthcare worker con her into loaning her money. Amy stood up for her residents and banned those healthcare workers from the property. We believe the reviews written were by one of those healthcare workers and a former employee. Is Amy perfect? No she's not and she is the first one to admit it. She has admitted mistakes openly and honestly. She apologizes when she is wrong. But she is also unable to fix every problem due to having to go to her corporate office for approval (i.e. smoke smell in the hallways....she has been trying to get the property to be smoke free but her corporate office wouldn't let her)The residents writing this review are truly grateful for this facility and for director Amy Rock. None of us would ever want to do her job. She has to keep 108 residents happy which is nearly impossible to do. Because there are so many different types of people here we will never all be happy at the same time. She also deals with residents who have cognitive issues too like coming up to her 20 times a day & asking what is happening next) and she answers every time with compassion even when the resident is frustrating everyone else. One of the newest residents in our group wanted to be sure we told everyone, and he means everyone, that he is so grateful he found this wonderful place with these wonderful people. He came here not wanting to be here but his family told him he had to be here. Now he is so glad he did. He feels like everyone treats him better than he has ever been treated. This applies doubly to Amy Rock....she is the most patient, caring person. She kept telling me it would get better and listened to him complain at first and never said a mean word. She told him a lot of people get here and don't like it but after a little while something changes and they love it here. She was right he loves it here!Thank you for reading this review. We can't handle the fact that people would be so revengeful as to write the mean things that were said about Amy.

****WARNING **** don't bring your loved ones here.. I am a personal care assistant in the facility and I warn you, the executive director is a BULLY ! Her name is Amy Rock and I have seen her personally attack several woman living there by attacking their healthcare providers. Lies and deceit! shes a snake! Power hungry and vindictive. Don't risk your loved ones to the care of this facility!
