We have been here for about 6 months, we are pleased with dedicated and friendly staff. Tonya, the Executive Director has been very attentive to our needs and our overall care. We recommend Lake Forest for assisted living.

I'd rate this facility as evil if I could but I settle for 1 to tell you to consider all options, read the contract and do not cosign an agreement not to sue.My mother was a resident here until her death in 2016. I wish I had taken legal action against this low-grade, sketchy and very cheap facility and its less-than-truthful staff. Here's my advice based on my mother's life at Lake Forest Park:As with any Assisted Living Facility, I suggest caretakers of potential residents research this facility with state/government agencies that license such organizations. In Florida, search the organization's license on the AHCA website or call AHCA directly; review their 16-page report detailing why the facility lost its license after a surprise investigation on 7/6 - 7/7 2015. READ THE WHOLE DOCUMENT.Beware their contract versus their pitch, scrutinize the contract before you sign on, insist on the promised tour, eat the food and more than once, and ask about the medical competency from WITHIN this facility. Ask about 'personalized care' and don't ever move in before you talk to the people who live there. If you choose any facility, get your own doctors. LIVE NEARBY. Inquire about personal care. Compare website promises with that contract. Get everything in writing, including promises of physical therapy, personal care, even how many trips residents really take to that 'heated swimming pool.' Ask about that waiting list for those one-bedroom apartments that don't exist as Lake Forest Park. .Understand that such organizations as 'A Place for Mom' aren't about you or your loved one: they endorse and rate facilities for their own profit of course. Hence my urgent call to all potential ALF residents to contact the state's elderly care agencies about the history of any facility.I have nightmares about my mother's life at Lake Forest Park, a property of Tarantino Senior Living. I'm thankful she is no longer there and till horrified that she died by the neglect of a facility that increased her monthly bill whenever they wanted over her 9-month stay. She lost 20 pounds during that time though she was always robust on her entry there. One personal gripe is that she spent holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter with a boxed lunch dropped to her room -- no company, no activities, no staff on hand to stop by. How sad is that.Learned more than I wanted to know when a parent chose Lake Forest Park: a total horror story fueled by an upper management staff directed by the not-charming Tarentino whoever they are now. 2018 APR 20Three years later to the day my mother fell in the night at Lake Forest, her screams for help unheard. Although she had a balance problem, and I was told she was checked on every two hours during the night, such was not the case. After her fall, in which her pelvis and legs were crushed, she lay in her own blood crying for help. None came. She died two days later after surgery and her last words to me -- I won't be going back there still haunt me. I still regret my decision to let her stay at Lake Forest Park -- my family and I stand behind our original impression. Management people are in it for profit only -- i.e., Tarantino and staff. I reached out to them with my concerns after her death and was gas-lighted by Tarantino management and the staff itself at the time. But they appear here on a review site just oh-so-sad, asking me to please talk to them about my issues. Is that kindness of heart or blatant hypocrisy? Heed my advice before you make the mistakes I did.

After being away for some time, it felt so nice to be back home at Lake Forest. The service here is the best. I enjoy the food as well. The staff is friendly and they do good work.

In January 2018, mom fell in her house and broke her hip. It was at this time that we realized she could no longer live alone. 24/7 live in help was not affordable. My husband and I live out of state and mom, living in Florida for 30+ years, did not want to come back to the cold North. We began to research facilities in the general area and narrowed the possibilities to four facilities. Our first meeting was with Lake Forest Park. The staff was courteous, up beat and professional. We found the facility to be clean and cheerful. The residents seemed very happy. We were offered lunch and found the meal to be balanced and tasty. As we met with other assisted living facilities in the area, we found that Lake Forest Park was a smaller more personal and family like environment. This is what I wanted for my mom, not a big facility where she will be come lost.We moved he in and the staff immediately included her in the activities that were available. After a few week of evaluation, it was determined that for the proper attention needed, she should be in the memory care section of the facility. Mom had to change suites and we could not get there right away to do the move due to work, the staff took care of everything. Tanya is always available for any questions I have and will get back to me immediately with an answer. If you are looking for a safe, more personal environment for a loved one, make a meeting with Lake Forest Park a top priority.
