Barkley Place Senior Living

After my mother died we looked for a place my father could spend his remaining days in a comfortable friendly environment. We searched most of the Senior Living Places in Fort Myers and decided Barkley Place was the best choice. We were right, the staff was great, food was good, enough activities, my father made many friends during his time at Barkley Place . Had it not been for the COVID virus essentially making prisoners of the Senior Citizen population my father would still be having a great time with his friends at Barkley Place. I used to visit him every Friday we both looked forward to the time, the staff always greeted me like I was a member of their family and kept me informed whenever my father had issues. I would recommend Barkley Place to anyone looking for a Senior Living Facility that does not look, smell, or act like a nursing home, but a great place to live with a very attentive staff. My Thanks to all the Staff.

Barkley Place is a wonderful place to feel comfortable with placing a parent or loved one. My mother lived there for four years, and the staff watched over her as if she was their own mother. My husband and I spent many holidays as my mothers guests for dinners and/or entertainment. There were always great activities happening for her to enjoy. I'd choose this place over Park Place apartments anyway.

I don't understand why my grandmother choose this place.First full it is very expensive place to leave for senior citizen specially independent leaving, second of all the dinning room staff/kitchen stuff including management are very rude ,doesn't have pleasant manners, you will never see the smile on they/ waitresses faces when it comes ordering food and redirecting seniors to dinning room sitting area, Meantime i just wanna let the people know how much care the older plus sick person can get help when it's come to assistant living care .The majority workers of this place they hate the jobI hope that people will pay attention by reading those reviews can help to make better choices because it is all about money.

My dad and stepmom have lived here and has been an enjoyable experience for both of them and those of us visiting them. The staff always seems to go out of their way to make everything as pleasant as possible. Will recommend Barkley Place to anyone looking for either independent or assisted living in SW Florida. Do yourself and your folks a favor and check this place out before making that big decision..
