I have been an entertainment vendor for the past year at American House Ft. Myers. During this time I have witnessed something spectacular-the Life Enrichment Director Daisy Godbee! In all my years of doing what I do, I have never met anyone who loves her job more than Daisy! She is always excited about bringing joy and new experiences to the residents. They always seem extremely happy. If you are looking for a beautiful place to live where you will be surrounded by happy people always having fun, check out American House in Fort Myers. This is the first review I've ever written but after my recent visit to my mother, Cass, and her husband, Tony, at American House in Ft. Myers I feel I must.To begin, the facility is gorgeous. The unit, the dining area and the outdoor space are meticulously designed and maintained. It's almost a spa like environment. I ate several meals in the dining room and the food was delicious. The dining staff were all attentive and kind. The residents wear a call button and the response time of the staff was always less than 5 minutes. When providing care the staff were caring, respectful and professional. The nursing staff always seemed to arrive with a smile on their face and encouraging words. They have done everything possible to help with my parent's adjustment to this new living situation and I am so thankful for American House.

My parents were among the first residents here. I cannot say enough good about the staff and facility! We lost my Dad last month, and the kindness & compassion shown to my entire family during his decline was above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. My mother wants for nothing and is made to feel as if she is a queen! For anyone considering moving to American House on Metro Parkway, you couldn't make a better decision! Thank you for being there when we were looking for that great home for our parents!
