To whom this may concern,I write this with the best intentions first and foremost. My mother has lived at American House for some time now and she is very happy. Over the last several weeks our country and the place we call home has changed dramatically. With that said, moms home is not here with me and my family. As much as I would love to have her here with us we are not able to care for her like the folks at American House. American House is what I consider my mothers home. I have noticed as things arise, American House has done a great job filtering folks in and out of the community and making sure only those who visit are only for emergency reasons. I get that completely and respect this decision, however, I have continued to notice that the staff that most of us would consider non-essential are still being asked to come into my mothers home. Those positions which do not prove direct care or a direct service to the residents. Government officials have asked that we only have those who are essential to provide service to the seniors. I think there are employees still continuing to come to work who I myself, and others have mentioned are non-essential. Here are a few examples of those positions, business office, this position is something that can be remotely done, sales, this positions as well can be done at the confinements of the individuals home, we understand that sales is what drives business in the senior living facilities BUT they can work from home considering that there are no tours and most information about the facility can be found online; maintenance or multiple maintenance employees. This position I think it essential BUT for emergencies reasons ONLY. I believe these are just an example of some roles that I feel American House should consider those working remotely from home. I understand that this time is trying for everyone but I have to sit back and think, is American House restricting everyone that is non essential into my mother home, NO they are continuing to bring in employees who can work remotely and limited people/visitors from coming into the building. If I cant visit my mother because I cannot provide her care these individuals shouldnt be permitted in the facility either. I write this with a grateful heart and I would have my mother no where else, we are very happy with American House, I just think there are improvements that can be made to help keep my mother safe. I ask that American House truly think of what is best for its residents which I know they do consider but from an outsiders perspective I think this needs to be addressed. If we cant visit our loved ones because we cant supply them care then we need to also limit employees whos positions are not directly care related and lesson the risk for my mother and all other residents.

Extremely disappointed in the lack of assistance, lack of information & lack of compassion. Truly treated as a business with the residents (your loved ones) treated as a commodity for the bottom line.

My Mom & Dad have been there since 2016. The first year was very good and since my dad passed last year, your facility has undergone many changes and going downhill. A few nurses and certain aids that are left, have been good. As time has passed, going on your third director and cook(s) you have been spiraling down fast. Lack of (qualified) staff and response time because of that. You need to become the responsible and respectful place we once seen in 2016.

My Mom is a 'charter community member' of American House, Bonita Springs. From the day she arrived, she was warmly welcomed and embraced by the staff and residents alike. The Director, Eugene, and ALL the people who help her each and every day are so well trained to cope with the issues that come with the aging process. I am so thankful for American House as a company, and specifically for everyone who interacts with her every day in Bonita Springs. I could not recommend them more highly!

Knowing that the staff at American House Bonita Springs deeply cares for my Mom, while we are so far away, is a great blessing and comfort to our family. From the very first day of opening, they have warmly welcomed her, and we have the utmost confidence in them. Thank you, one and all, at American House.
