Be aware it is closed pending a move. Best time to see the deer is around dawn or dusk especially on our near No Name Key. They are there, just drive around for a bit! The deer get 5 stars. The 1 star is for the visit center because it's temporarily shut for extended period of time but no signs or updates on Google.

Didn't see any deer on the nature trails (or anywhere else). I'm sure they're cute though so 5 stars for the deer. The visitor center wasn't open on time, looked shabby, and didn't help at all. 1 star for the center.

These Deer are Precious! Once you see them up close, you will automatically want to do the 45/35 MPH Speed limits! But, if you don't want to observe the posted speed, the Cops AND the Locals will convince you!

Great place for bird watching and of course deer watching. Take your time, go slow and you'll see lots of live. Looking forward to the new Visitor Center opening soon.
