I recently transfered my mother from another facility. I cannot say enough good things about the process. I have had no help throughout her 9 months since her diagnosis of her terminal illness. The admission director Terri is fantastic. She helped me every step of the process. She is caring and compassionate both towards my mother and me. The facility is beautiful. i plan to keep her there to live out what days she has left so far she is very happy.

Somerford is an amazing assisted living facility with outstanding staff. Mom moved into her lovely apartment earlier this year and has been accepted and loved on and made to feel so welcomed by everyone there. Staff is always available for assistance, to answer questions and concerns and lend a hand wherever possible. Mom has become more active and outgoing than sbe has the past few years, attending events and participating in activities and has made good friends. Its been a challenge for everyone during COVID quarantine, but Somerford staff has made it work! We are so pleased and blessed to have Mom residing here at Somerford.

I am so proud and thrilled to call Somerford House my Mothers home away from home. She has dementia so sometimes gets confused about things. The staff are friendly, supportive and go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that Mom is well take care of. Due to the physical layout of the building it makes communication for everyone and everything quite simple. The staffs offices are in such close proximity to one another that an issue can be easily addressed (without picking up a phone or having to write an email!) The residence hallways, dining rooms and various other facilities are also close together, so the residents can get around with confidence and ease.Since March all visitation rights have been cancelled due to the pandemic. It has been necessary but so tough on everyone. Somerford House has made the best of it! They have set up virtual visits via Zoom or FaceTime, organized outdoor drive by parades and have recently set up window visits. I live in New York, so the daily FaceTime visits with Mom are priceless!Moms only complaint is about the food. She has always been a good cook and loves all different types of foods and flavors. I am hopeful that this can be addressed and modified once we get through

Our family had a horrible experience here. My husband was admitted to the memory care unit, moved in and then rejected. He was moved out that very same day. Management is so inept, we considered litigation. The only reason I gave this place one star, is because it is a beautiful facility. I urge everyone seeking a facility for their loved one to go elsewhere.
